One Last Wish

Oh how you wish

That one day you could show them

That the one they taunted,

Hurt, and haunted

Would bite them back

And shine so bright

Brighter than the sun

The moon

A million stars in the night

So that one day you can fly

Until your out of sight

Soaring through the sky

And let them think: "Oh my!"

And then they'll know what it's like

To be put down

Beneath the ground

Not able to make a sound

Lifeless,

Hopeless

They'll learn one day

And this is what they'll say:

Sorry

That one word that seems so nice

So honest

So sincere

Yet it can't cover up the pain

Nor will it get rid of the rain of tears,

That had streamed down your face

As you shook in fear

And waited for the storm to clear

And waited

And waited

And hoped

And dreamed

And all that was left was that one last wish...

This poem is completely original and my own thoughts and experiences were uses to write this. It was also improvised.
