Jan,16 Today was the day of our first fundraiser event in the sunshine club. It's been two days since Noah's letter was found and Mavis in her shadows again and never wanting to leave her room. That day we got to leave early and Mavis haven't spoken a word since then. She carried the letter with her everywhere and leaves the knife under her pillow. As much as i tried talking to her she would ignore me or nod. The worst part was I saw cuts on her wrist and she wasn't good at hiding it.

We were walking to our 5th period class history and i wanted to break the silence.

"Mavis you can't keep doing this all your life. Replacing your pain with another." i said but all she did was ignore me.

"You know Noah..." i said.

"Noah is dead, she didn't want to deal with us anymore. She didn't want to be around monster.She didn't want to deal with mom still being married to that a*** monster. I was pulling her down the whole time and you don't think cutting better is then having this life, Because you know what it is. Stop judgng my life and look at your life." she yelled out with emotion everywhere and ran off.

I felt bad and wanted to cry. I ran to the bathroom and started to tear up. Mavis and I don't have a perfect life. Mavis dad Jack was a director and is an abused man who punch and kick her mom and sometime her and her sister. Mavis dad was worse if he was drunk and has anger issue. Peggy, Mavis mother, is a news reporter. Peggy never reported his abuse or filed for divorce and let him control her.

My mother is also a news reporter and we travel alot because of it. She never has time for me and if so she'll sometimes ignore me. I nevered meet my father but i heard from my aunt he left us when he got the news of my mom's pergnancy. In fact my mother wasn't married to him and they only seen each other for a month. I don't like my mother but I love my aunt and wish she was my mom.

The rest of the day i skipped my last two classes in the restroom and walked to Barbara's place for the event.

Once I got there I didn't see Mavis. I was hoping she was hear I can apologies and we can make up like always.

"Listen up ladies in a little bit there will be a crowd of people from those doors coming out. I need all of you to get your skirts on and step it up. Okay?!" Barbara said.

We all nodded and either got a tray of cupcake to sell or sit at the booth and sell it from there. Next thing you know there was a sworm of people coming out. Some we never saw at school.

It was pack and Barbara has a huge place, its like being in the white house up the hills and yet I don't see Mavis anywhere.

In an hour I already sold 45 cupcakes, some of the girls sold 50 or 60 cupcakes. Barbara only sold 32 then went up to people and start conversations. Even Jessica, Kayala, and Vanessa sold 56 cupcakes. Barbara said she'll announce if we get $900 dollars but with her lack of work who know if we can.

Another hour pass and I sold 64 more cupcakes and still no sign of Mavis. Some girls got little lazy and sold 23 or 34 cupcakes and Barbara still only sold 32 cupcakes. I decided to take a break and try to find Mavis. I put the tray at the booth and started walking around when i accidently bumb into Schwartz.

"Hey speed racer slow down" he said.

"Sorry I'm trying to find someone" i said try to pass him.

"Who you trying to find" he asked whiled he pushed me infront of him and holding my hip.

"You think your girlfriend mind you holding other girls like this" I asked.

" Not when she's around" he said smiling. I didn't smile and he let go.

"Well I answered your statement, now you answer my question" he said making it sound like demand.

"Mavis" I answered.

"Little Noah she called in sick" he said then backed up. I turned around and saw Barbara coming towards us.

"Hey babe come with me now and you sell more cupcakes" she demanded. They both left and I went to the booth to get another set of cupcake to sale and i thought maybe i can have one to myself. I took one and threw the wrapper away.

Another hour pass and i sold 67 cupcakes and i started to get dizzy. My head started hurting, my seeing was blurry, and i started walking funny. I couldn't believe it, I had the same feeling before but couldn't remember when.

"I have an announcement to make everyone", Barbara said as i put the tray on the floor, "The Sunshine raised $923 dollars!!! We beat our goal!".

Everyone was clapping and shouting. Once she was about to speak, I couldn't hold myself anymore. I fell back into the pool. I tried swimming up but i just kept drowning. The water was getting into my nose and mouth. I touched the bottom of the floor and tried pushing up. Then I saw a hand reaching towards me but after that I black out.

10 minutes or so I heard I finally woke up coughing up water and gasping for water. I saw one of the member Jenny next to me and Schwartz all wet. The rest of the member of people were standing by waiting, even Barbara was too.

"Miranda are you okay? We thought you died", Jenny said, "Schwartz came in just in time uh".

"Yah I got dizzy and umm I don't know" I said finally.

Later on I guess when I was out Barbara said she had a surprise inside however it can wait until I wake up. So everyone walked while looking at me and nodding to let me know they where waiting. Jenny stayed beside me and Schwartz left with Barbara. I suddenly notice cupcake inside a bag inside her pocket.

"Why is there a cupcake in your pocket?" I asked.

"I think the reason why you fell is because there's drugs in he cupcakes" she said.

I thought she was crazy like 923 people ate the cupcake and who would do that. However there was some who acted liked they took some.

"I'm going to take it to someone to see if its true. I'm going to leave through the back." she said as she picked me up and walked me inside. She then sat me down and left.

Barbara surprise was everyone gets to watch a movie that hasn't been release. I saw Mavis sitting with Schwartz. I wonder why she decided to come to the event. Then all of a sudden, a splash came from outside. Barbara told everyone to stay and the members to come with her outside. We all came out and gasp. At first we thought it was the punch until we saw a figure.

"Oh my gosh it's a body!!!" one of the member yelled out and ran to warn the others to go home.

I just stood watching it, I sadly knew it was Jenny's body. I heard to the shouts, everyone running, and three boys diving into the water to get Jenny.

While all of this was happening Mavis was standing next to me. I whispered sorrry hoping she heard.

"I'm planning Noah's furenal" she said.
