I didn't purposely mean to but I had fallen asleep last night.
I woke up snuggled up to Aidan. I quickly got up and changed my position rn save myself from embarrassment when my parents woke up.
I went on Instagram and looked at my explore page.
Everyone was talking about how today was Aidan's birthday.
Why didn't he tell me??!!
I also felt like a total dick since I had already knew when bis birthday was.
But normally you should at least talk about it.
I shook him aggressively to get him to wake up.
"GET UP" I said shaking him
He got up and looked confused
"HAPPY BIRTHDAY" I said loudly but not loud enough to wake my parents
I hugged him very tightly.
We had been doing this for 4 months now and we had gotten a pretty close bond.
If you like someone for 4 months or longer it basically turns into a love. And this definitely turned into a love.
"I love you" i whispered into his neck
I immediately knew I fucked up.
I hoped he didn't hear me so I could save myself from embarrassment
"I love you too" he whispered to me back.
I felt my cheeks heat up and I just squeezed him tighter when he said he loved me too.
I pulled out slowly and so did he. I didn't want to wait so I just went for it and kissed him.
He pulled away
"Woah y/n, what are you doing" he said
Wait what?!
"You just said you love me?! I thought you wanted me to do that" I said
I totally started freaking out.
"You can love someone without having feelings you know." He said
I felt my heart shatter into pieces.
"Yeah i just took it the wrong way..." I said awkwardly
I totally fucked everything up. 4 months to waste.

(Aidan POV)
Why did I say that!!! I love her too. And it's the type of love with feelings.
It caught me by surprise when she kissed me and I had no clue what to do so my immediate instinct was to back away.
"Yeah i just took it the wrong way..." she said
I could hear the pain in her voice and that broke me. How could I be such and idiot!
I felt the same.
"I'm gonna go uh get ready" she said
"You should too so we can do something for you're birthday." She continued
I nodded to her.
There wasn't really anywhere for me to get ready at so I would just have to wait for her which I didn't mind.
Her parents walked out of her room.
"Aidan! Y/n told us it was your birthday!" Her mom said while putting her arms out to give me a hug.
It felt good to be hugged again by a mom. I missed my parents. And they couldn't come out for my birthday which destroyed me. That's probably why I haven't been really myself today.
I guess at least I know y/n loves me back.. but after that I doubt she still would.
I pulled away from the hug and her dad simply gave me a smile and a simple happy birthday.
Y/n walked out and was wearing a beautiful simple dress

She looked beautiful.
"Aidan i was thinking me and you could go out for the day and do stuff for your birthday.. and my parents will stay here" she said sweetly
I felt bad. Her parents had just came and she was gonna be spending the whole day with me.
"No no we don't ha-" I tried saying
"It's your birthday! Don't feel bad" her mom said
I gave a her a smile.
"Okay I'll go get ready then.
I put on a simple pair of jeans and a plain t shirt. I didn't really have the greatest style so this would have to do.
I went into the bathroom and did my hair and brushed my teeth.
I walked out and y/n was waiting for me and was on her phone
"I'm ready" i said
"Okay!" She said happily
How could she be so happy I basically rejected her.
She slipped on her converse and grabbed her bag.
She gave her mom and dad a kiss on the cheek and a wave.
We walked out and she closed and locked the door.
"Where are we going?" I asked.
"I was thinking maybe a picnic? And then wherever else you want to go" she asked
"That sounds perfect" i said
"Okay great. We can go to the store and get a blanket and then go get whatever food" she said
"I'm so excited it's your birthday" she said grabbing my hands and moving them a bit.
I laughed at her.
She was so fun to be around and always knew what to do.

We had got our food and the blanket and had went to a not so we'll known park so we could get our privacy.
We put our stuff under a beautiful tree and sat with it.
"I've never been on a picnic before." I said
"Me too" he said
I started taking the food out and handed Aidan his and took mine.
"About earlier.." Aidan said
"Nope! We don't need to talk abou-" I tried saying but was cut off
