Padfoot and his Pups

The Beginning

Y/N P.O.V

This is not fair. Summer just started. There is no way that we are leaving for Hogwarts tomorrow. I do not want to go back. I have already been there for so many years of my life. I just want to stay home with my dad all day. It is going to be so much different this year. I am going to be sorted into a house and I am going to have classes with other first-years. I won't be able to talk with Harry, Ron, Hermione, and Draco as much since I am going to have to worry about my classes. Also, there is Ginny as well, we did not get off to a good start. I hope she doesn't bother me during classes. 

I have no idea why she doesn't like me. I mean everyone in her family likes me, so why doesn't she? I walk out of my room and go downstairs to the kitchen. No one else is up yet and I don't feel like waking them up. Maybe if I am quite enough Harry and Dad will sleep in, and we will miss the train. Then I don't have to go. Honestly, the only good thing about this year is that Dad is going to be the Defense Against the Dark Arts teacher. So, I get to spend even more time with him.

As Y/N continues to brood she doesn't notice the person coming into the room until she gets lifted out of her seat. "What are you doing out of bed this early in the morning, and without making any noise?" Instead of answering Y/N buries her head into Sirius' neck. "Well." The only thing that could be heard from Y/N was a mumbled answer. Sirius continued to wait for Y/N to repeat her answer. "I don't want to go. I am going to miss home. And I won't be able to see Harry, Ron, Hermione, and Draco since I am going to have to go to classes as well. I don't want to go to classes, I want to have fun."

Sirius P.O.V

Oh, so that's the problem. That's not that bad. "Don't worry puppy, you will still be able to hang out with your friends." I could feel Y/N trying to... Well trying to bury herself deeper into my neck. However, she doesn't respond, so I walk out of the kitchen and up into my room while still carrying Y/N in my arms. I throw Y/N onto my bed and jump on after her. Attacking her with tickles and kisses. I could feel Y/N squirm underneath me, "Dad stop AHA... HAHAHA." Smirking before I answer, "How about no." I continue to attack Y/N. 

She will have nothing to worry about. I will make sure of it. I have a bad feeling about this year. Having to deal with Y/N and Harry it is going to be a long adventurous year. I will probably feel like Minnie felt when she had to deal with me and James. "Ok pup, time to go downstairs to eat breakfast. Harry is already downstairs." Y/N looks up at me in confusion. "How do you know Harry is already downstairs?" I shake my head, "I know because of my animagus senses." A look of astonishment appears on Y/N's face. "How come you heard him go downstairs and I didn't? I am a dog too." Y/N tilts her head the same way a confused dog would. I try my hardest not to laugh as I think of an answer to her question, all while carrying her downstairs to the kitchen. "That is because you are still a puppy, your senses will sharpen as your animagus grows."

Normal P.O.V

Sirius finishes his explanation as the duo enters the kitchen. "Good morning, Harry." Harry looks up with his mouth full of eyes and bacon. And says something uninterpretable even to the animagus. Sirius puts Y/N down and sits in his seat. The trio chow down their food and get ready to leave for Platform 9 ¾. Harry and Y/N go barreling down the stairs with their trunks ready to leave. Not even 20 minutes later Hermione and Y/N are on the train looking for an empty compartment. "I cannot believe how hard it is to find an empty compartment. Was it hard for you last year?" Y/N cannot help but ask Hermione as they continue to look. "Well last year it was easy. I don't know why it is harder this year, oh look finally." The compartment that Hermione found was not empty, but Ginny, Luna and Neville were in there, so it was basically the same thing.

*Meanwhile with Harry and Ron*

Harry and Ron had just run right into the barrier. "The platform is closed. How are we supposed to get in." Harry questioned Ron. "Never mind us getting in, how are Mum and Dad going to get back." While both boys are thinking Harry suddenly remembers the car. "Hey Ron, maybe we should wait by the car." Ron suddenly looks at Harry. "The car. We can take the car to find the train." Both boys quickly get to the car and put their trunks in the back. Ron gets in the driver's seat and Harry in the passenger's seat. And they take off, not without being seen by at least seven muggles.

Sirius P.O.V

I can't believe I am back in these halls. I gave Minnie quite the shock when I walked into the Great Hall. She looked like she was ready to pass out. Well, I guess it's a good thing I am only going to be teaching for a year. I look towards the incoming first years and see Y/N looking around nervously. She catches my eyes, and I gave her an encouraging smile. She gives me a nervous smile back. There was only one problem. Harry was Harry. He was not sitting down with Hermione and now that I took a longer look, I could see that Ron was not there either. Not even the first day and the two of them are already in trouble. Unbelievable, did I say this would be an adventurous year. "GRYFFINDOR" The yelling of the sorting hat brought me back to reality and I saw Y/N get off the chair and look at me with a wide smile while walking over to the Gryffindor table. 

I smile back at her and give her a loving wink. Suddenly Filch the caretaker of Hogwarts makes his way over to me, "Dumbledore wants to see you in the dungeons." Oh, dear I guess this has something to do with Harry and Ron. "Very well I will head down there now. Thanks." I get up from the table and make my way down to the dungeons. Trying to figure out what on earth those boys could have done on the first night.

Harry P.O.V

Oh no. Now we have done it. Ron and I are in Snape's office getting the talking of a lifetime. I can only imagine what Sirius is going to say when he finds out. "You were seen by no less than 7 muggles. If you were in Slytherin and your faith rested with me both of you would be on the train home tonight." Professor Snape continued to yell at us. "But they are not. Ron, your parents will be informed about what has occurred today. Harry as for you." The door opens and, in the room, appears in the room with an expression that I cannot read. 

"He will come with me. Now Harry." Sirius turns out of the room and Harry hurries out after him. "Sirius." I try to get his attention. However, he does not respond and just continues to go down the hall. We finally reach a portrait which most likely leads to Sirius' room. He quietly says the password. As the door opened Sirius lost his balance. "Oof, Y/N that was not very welcoming." I heard Sirius say to Y/N his voice sounded angered. Oh god this is going to be bad. I look back up just in time to see Y/N walk into what looked like a bedroom. "Sit down Harry and eat." I look towards Sirius and see that there was a sandwich and some pumpkin juice waiting for me on the table. I eat quietly watching Sirius the entire time. I could see the anger in his eyes. 

"Tell me what happened from beginning to end. Don't leave anything out." To not get into any more unnecessary trouble I tell him everything. After I finished telling Sirius what happened I could see he was no happier than he was before I told him what happened. "So, the two of you just decided to take the car. There were several things that you could have done. You could have waited for Mr. and Mrs. Weasley at the car. You could have come back home, and I could have taken the two of you with me. Or if I was already gone you could have gone to Remus. There were several safer options for you guys to take. But no, you did not think about your safety. As for your punishment. For the next two weeks you are only going to be attending classes, no after school activities. You go straight to your classes and then back to the dormitories, or back to my rooms. As for your broom it will stay on the ground until further notice. I am sure that the Gryffindor Quidditch captain will understand."

 I hang my shoulders, I guess I can't be that upset. I deserve this. I really did give Sirius quite the scare. "Come I will take you back to your dorm." Sirius walks out of his room, and I follow him. As we reached the Gryffindor dormitory, I could see Ron outside waiting for me. "Harry there you are. How did Professor Black take it? Are you in trouble?" Ron started talking fast. "Easy Ron don't chew him out. He is fine. Now both of you are going to bed. Don't forget that tomorrow night the both of you have detention with McGonagall." Sirius turns around and walks back the way he came from. "Come on Harry lets go in." Ron and I ran into the common room and up into our room.
