*Heads up! This chapter is really long, so sorry in advance, but it was an important chapter and I couldn't break it up into parts. Anyways, enjoy!*

The Whyte Wyrm

Cheryl:

As soon as Jughead told me to get Veronica, I knew what this meeting was about. We were finally going to put our plan into action.

Step 1: We needed to get Veronica alone A.K.A., away from Reggie.

Unfortunately, this was the only way we could do that. I know that Reggie is close behind us, so I just focus on our destination. Finally we make it to the Whyte Wyrm. I lead the way as we all line up our bikes. I take my helmet off and then help Veronica with hers. We regroup and see FP and Alice waiting for us. FP nods over to Veronica.

"You got her." I nod.

"Yeah we got her, but Reggie wasn't too far behind us, so we should go in. He could get here any minute." FP nods and we all head into the bar. Once we're in, Jughead looks over at his girlfriend.

"Hey T, keys." She tosses him the keys. He catches them and locks the door so that Reggie can't get in. Jughead clasps his hands together and takes a deep breath. "Okay now we can get to business." He looks at Veronica as he says this.

Jughead:

I get everyone to be quiet, which wasn't super hard as no one was really talking before. I rub my hands together nervously and let out a long breath. I feel my girlfriend, Toni intertwine her fingers in mine and squeeze my hand. I look down at her.

"It's gonna be okay Jug," I nod slightly. "You're doing the right thing." I nod.

"Yeah. Yeah, you're right." She smiles at me.

"She's gonna be okay." I smile back and nod.

"Yeah you're right. She'll be okay." I lean down and give her a quick kiss. "Let's do this." She nods and smiles

"Let's do this." I clasp my hands together.

"Okay! Let's start." Everyone looks at Veronica who had taken to one of the bar stools. The rest of us remained standing. She doesn't even notice. She's just looking at her hands and picking at her nails. I clear my throat.

"Veronica." She looks up and is suddenly aware of all the eyes on her.

"What? Where are we? Why am I here? What's going on?" I walk over to her.

"Woah, woah, woah, woah, woah! Slow down." I kneel down to get to her level and grab her hands. "We're trying to help you." She looks around.

"All of you guys? Want to help—me?" She asks, shocked.

"Of course. We're your friends, that's what friends are for." Suddenly someone starts pounding at the door. Reggie must have finally caught up to us.

"Open up! I know you're in there!" He pounds again louder this time. I notice Veronica flich each time the door is pounded. "Come on! Open up!" At that moment Veronica starts bawling.

"Hey, hey it's okay." I try to speak softly to calm her down. "Shhh... it's okay." She looks up at me teary-eyed and just puts her arms around me. I'm shocked at first, but hold onto her as long as she needs. "Calm down, it's okay." I say while stroking her hair to calm her down. "Just tell us what's happening. You can trust us. It's okay." I look over at the others, panicked. I didn't think it would be this hard to get her to talk. I gently pry her arms away from me, but hold onto her hands for comfort. "What happened?" She shakes her head. I try again. "The only way we can help you is if you're 100% honest with us. Can you do that?" She hesitates as if to think about it for a minute. She sniffles, wiping at her tear-stained face and slowly nods. I take her hand and lead her back to the bar stool. "How 'bout you sit down and tell us." She nods. I look at Toni and she goes behind the bar and grabs a tissue box for Veronica.
