A few weeks later...(After Prologue)Shadow is walking through Vale, heading to a gem cutting shop as he holds 4 gems in his left hand. His head is slightly facing the ground, thinking to how he got out of the school so early.
Shadow's mind: Hope the girls like what I'm doing for them. The dance is coming up soon, and this is my best way to thank them for all they did to help me.
Joker: the heck am I going to give you!?
Ruby: don't know, but I'm sure it will be nice
Shadow looks up and continues his walk to the shop, as he turns the corner, he sees a girl and a boy looking for some kind of store. The two see Shadow and the boy nudges the girl to go talk to Shadow. The girl agrees and walks up to him.

Emerald: Me?
CD: yes
???: Hey there. Could you help me and my friend with something?
Shadow: Of course. You new to Vale?
???: Yeah, were just looking for this place. Happen to know where it is?She pulls out a piece of paper with an address to the Bookstore. Shadow nods as he looks at the address then looks back at the girl.
Shadow: Oh! The bookstore? It's just down the street a little bit *points behind him* should be the second right you can take to get there.
???: Thank you! We've been looking for the place for a little while now.
Shadow: Yeah, no worries. Vale is pretty big, so finding places can be a bit tricky for new people.
???:No kidding. Anyway, I'll be on my way. Come on Mercury!
Rouge sighs in German at the mention of his name
The girl walks past Shadow, waving goodbye as Mercury follows her, giving a happy smile as the walk away. Shadow waves back before the two go their separate ways. Shadow then walks into the Gem Shop and rings the front desk bell, as a gem cutter soon arrives.
Gem Cutter: Welcome to the Gem Shapener my friend! Whatcha need?
Shadow: Hey there, I need these gems cut for some necklaces.
Shadow then sets down his four gems in the counter. A Ruby, Sapphire, Canary, and an Onyx Gem.
Gem Cutter: Ah Yes! These gems are the perfect size for a necklace! Any preferences on their designs?
Shadow: Yeah, In fact, I have the designs I need for each of them.
Shadow then pulls out 4 separate pieces of paper, each with Team RWBY's emblems, in the corner a little note in sharpie which gem for which necklace. The Gem Cutter observed each photo and note before returning to Shadow.
