Aiko's POV
If Hoshiumi doesn't play half as good as he says he is, I'll have a warrant to slap him further than the eyes can see. My feet felt like someone glued them onto the floor or, even worse as if an unknown force was keeping them at bay. Whoops, never mind. It's not an unknown force. It's called the tiredness of being told to race through the stairs five times in a row. He's a monster.
"Come on, Aiko!" The seagull yelled from 10 steps above me.
"How much stamina do you have." I gasped. "And where the hell is the gym? We've been going in circles."
"I told you, I forgot!"
"Do you have the memory range of a teaspoon?"
"It's not my fault; there are so many gyms here."
"Why did I go with you?" I sighed.
"Because you prefer me over the other guys." He smirked confidently.
Dear readers, would you please save me from this monstrous nightmare? No? Hmph. You're all mean.
As if it was the end of the world, I stared at the bright ceiling above me, closed my eyes, and mumbled a soundless prayer.
Oh, dear god, wherever you are, please hear my silent plea. A monster has appeared before me. Please grant me the power to overcome and endure the challenges that'll come my way. Amen.
Oh yea, and maybe throw in some earplugs and elevators.
"What'cha doing?" Asked the unmistakably irritating voice.
"Something," I replied, sitting down.
"Are you that tired?"
I stared at the white-haired male incredulously.
"How can I not be? I swear you must have some cheetah DNA inside you."
"Thank you for the compliment, and Hop on."
"Hop— What?"
"Hop on." He repeated.
"Hop on, on what?"
"My back."
"Haha, sorry, I thought I heard you said your back."
"I did."
"Excuse me? What?!"
"Hop on my back."
For the hundredth time today, my eyes intertwined with his and widened in complete, absolute shock. There was no hint of playfulness in Hoshiumi's eyes. He was dead serious about his offer.
"I am tired, but I doubt you can carry me fo— Stop!"
Before I knew it, the unorthodox seagull boy lifted me by the leg, forcing my hands to wrap around his neck. Despite having a skinny appearance, he lifted me from the ground with ease, as if I weighed nothing to him.
"You're light." He commented, reading my mind.
"No, I'm not. Tobio complains about me being too heavy." I replied as Hoshiumi started climbing the stairs.
"Then he's too weak to carry you."
"umm...maybe."
After having our short conversation, a comfortable silence enveloped us. I didn't mind keeping quiet, and I took the pleasure of having a peaceful moment— once in a while.
I stared at the back of Hoshiumi's head. Despite sticking out in every direction, his is hair was way softer than it looked. It felt as if I was touching the coat of a fluffy, snowy rabbit. I could smell his cologne from up close, and I honestly fancied it. Unlike the odor that most high-school boys give away (including Tobio), his smell was sweet and minty— something like peppermint. Hoshiumi's shoulders were broader than I thought it would be; it was just the right size to slung my hands over. Examining him from up close makes him look like a tender or even a soft-hearted person.
He might not be so bad.

Fanfic"Are you Aiko?" enquired the white-haired boy. I squinted my eyes at him suspiciously. "That name is widely used. Which Aiko are you looking for?" What if you don't remember your first love? Well let me make things clear, it sucks. Korai Aiko, a 15...
