I don’t know how long I walked. As I went, I plucked apples from the trees and got carrots from nearby village. Soon I got tired of walking and decided to build my new house. I stumbled around and found a lush, green plains biome. I gathered some wood and started constructing. My dad said I have a talent at building. I agree, not to brag. A few minutes later, I had a nice, cozy house which was good enough, for now. I planned to improve it later. Built house: check. Next task: I peered into the notebook I found at a village. Find wool/sheep. The moment I thought find sheep, two of the fuzzy creatures wandered past me. As I sheared them, I thought, the world is on my side today. Both of them dropped three pieces of wool. I picked them up and walked into my house, creating two beds with my crafting table. Placing them side-by-side, I stepped back and admired my work. Two crafting tables, furnaces and a double chest in a corner which I called my kitchen. There were also some barrels with carrots in apples inside. In another corner, I had placed my beds side-by-side to be create a large bed. This was my bedroom. Soon, I would separate these into rooms. To me, it looked like I might have been able to survive. Though it wasn't that easy.
I knew I wasn't the only person in Minecraft. Mom used to say, “There are a lot of bad people in the world but don't let them stop you.” I took that advice seriously. Thinking about mom made me stifle a sob, but I held it together. I sorted through the loot I had from the other villages and found a full set of leather armor. “This will have to do for now,” I said, pulling out the wooden sword I found at the foot of my house earlier. Quickly crafting a wooden pickaxe, I set out for the cave near my house. Pulling out the torches I made, I lighted one and almost fell in the ravine a block away. I carefully made a bridge across the twenty-block gap. The smell of lava and ash drifted through the air, causing me to cough. Halfway through my building, I ran out of blocks. I decided to take the remaining seven blocks I needed from the start of the bridge and move them to the finish. Already the blocks I had placed two minutes ago already were covered in dust. There were footprints three times the size of my feet on the dusty block of cobblestone. That's odd, I thought. The shuffling sound behind me brought me back to reality. Before I could turn around, a shove pushed me over the ledge.
