The end had a mysterious feeling, like my soul was being crushed into a million shards. Me and Steve stood on the Obsidian platform next to the end island. The void looked like it would stretch out and drown us in its depths. A loud roar brought me back to my senses. "What was that?" Steve's worried voice echoed. "Oh no. I think it is the end dragon." I realized. We were nowhere equipped for the fight.
"OK. Here's the battle plan. You shoot the crystals, and I'll get the dragon." Steve explained. "Who put you in charge?" I remarked, rolling my eyes. "But fine."
"One problem. how do we get to the island?" Steve asked.
"It doesn't look that far, only about four blocks." I described. "I think I could make it."
"But I don't think I could make it." Steve expressed.
"I'll give you a boost." I suggested. Steve nodded, giving me the clear. I kneeled on the edge of the platform closest to the island and stuck my hands out. Steve was on the other side. He ran towards me. the moment he was about to jump, I pushed against his feet, standing him flying towards the island. I dusted my hands on my pants and jumped over the ledge. "You could have been lighter," Steve groaned, rubbing his back tenderly. "You might not have made it," I smirked. we ran over to the end portal in the center of the pillars. It wasn't active, just an empty black frame. I quickly started to shoot arrows at the crystals and Steve scanned the sky for the dragon. I knew even missing one shot could delay our attack and allow the dragon to kill us. I steadily pulled back the string and took a deep breath, releasing the bowstring. The arrow hit its mark, destroying the crystals. One down, eleven to go. I repeated the same motion, striking five more of the floating healing crystals. That was when we spotted the dragon. The dragon's deafening roar blasted through my eardrums. The ringing subsided after a minute. I shot down the rest of the crystals with my bow. The dragon swooped below, settling on top of the inactivated portal. Steve went over to the dragon, striking it with its diamond sword. It roared, spitting its acid breath on me. The acid burned like it was the sun's rays shining on top of me. My HP was depleted to seven. Steve kept swinging until the dragon was at half health. I'm pretty sure the dragon finally realized that it was low on health, so it flew up into the sky again. I kept sniping it with my bow, until its health was lowered to a mere quarter. The dragon roared in agony, staring at me and Steve with hatred. As we were fighting, I notice to figure behind the obsidian pillar. Wearing the same clothes as Steve, it looked remarkably similar. But there was a difference. The eyes. The white beams light felt foreshadowing, like I was going to die that day. But a second later the finished figure vanished. I shook my head, knowing I probably was hallucinating. I shot one last shot at the dragon. It roared, but that was its last breath. It floated into the sky, and exploded. XP was raining on top of us, and we also saw that an egg, black and purple specs, was sitting on top of the portal. But another detail was that the portal was active. Me and Steve exchanged glances. We leaped in the portal and landed in the middle of a village. We had landed in the middle of a fair. The villagers stared at us with fear-stricken faces. I chuckled nervously and whispered, "run."
Steve complied and we hightailed it out of there as fast as our legs would take us. I swear I saw the same pair of glowing eyes I saw next to my house. "Hey Steve, do you see those eyes?" I asked him. But by the time he looked, they were gone. Strange, I thought, while I was walking with Steve towards the horizon.
Somewhere else, someone screamed.

The pain was unbearable. Herobrine watched the pair from the shade of the forest. He loathed them at that particular moment. Well, he always loathed them. He gathered his teleporting powers and warped to the end. When he arrived, he felt an emptiness in his heart, like a sword sliced him in half. Suddenly, the realization struck him like a cold shard poking at him. He saw the lifeless body of the dragon. He thought to himself, if they find my other pet, I will be vulnerable. I must do everything in my power to stop them. And just like that, he vanished.
