It was now way past midnight, and we were all standing outside of the bar on the sidewalk. Chris was attempting to hail a taxi, but in his drunken state all he was doing was stumbling around while waving a very limp arm in the air. It was a hilarious sight to be quite honest. Brie and Elizabeth were laughing over something that I didn't fully understand, and Mackie was just watching Chris, the look on his face one of disappointment.

The air outside was crisp like earlier, but it still held that fresh feel. It was even more peaceful now that it was darker. It helped that we were in a good part of New York. There was no reason to be cautious around here. It was just such an amazing atmosphere, especially since it was just the six of us on the sidewalk.

I was stood next to Sebastian, his arm gently wrapped around my shoulders as we both silently watched everyone. Sebastian and I were the only ones who weren't completely wasted. After his first drink, Sebastian very quickly realized that he would have to be the designated driver. I, on the other hand, had many, many martinis. I still wasn't as out of it like Chris or the girls, but I had a really strong buzz going on.

"Chris! Stop trying to get a taxi. You know I'm driving you, you dummy." Sebastian spoke, his tone holding that of authority. He sounded like an annoyed parent at that moment. Sebastian rolled his eyes and looked down at me, smiling softly, "I'm driving you home, right?" He asked me. Sebastian almost looked hopeful. That made the butterflies in my stomach erupt into a flurry.

I nodded and chewed softly on the inside of my cheek before speaking, "If you wouldn't mind. I didn't drive here so it's not like I have a car that I'm leaving behind." I mentioned.

It was quite comforting how close I had gotten with Sebastian over the course of this one night. I was lucky to know the people that I did, I knew that. I was never wrapped up in serious drama, and I also never had a big fight between myself and someone I knew. I was grateful for my luck, and what I had gotten out of it.

"Okay, no problem. I'm gonna drop Chris off first. He very clearly needs to go to bed." Sebastian told me, a laugh escaping his lips with his last sentence. He removed his arm from around my shoulder, only to place his hand on the middle of my back. He slowly led me towards Chris, "Come on buddy, we're heading out."

Chris turned around, his face flushed pink and a childish smirk on his face, "What if I said no?" He asked and stuffed his hands into the pockets of his jeans.

Chris looked around at everyone else, to which I followed. Liz and Brie had hailed a taxi and were looking towards us. It was clear that they themselves were ready to head out.

"Bye guys!" Elizabeth called out. The three of us waved to them as Anthony walked over to their cab, getting in after Brie.

"Just us." I spoke simply, a friendly smile on my face. I didn't mind just being with the two of them. Besides Lizzie, they were the two that I had become most comfortable around, despite the fact that 'drunk Chris' was making an appearance.

After convincing Chris to come with us, Sebastian led us in the direction of his car. I was now linking arms with the two boys, myself in the middle. Only now did I notice how cold my legs were. I felt a shiver come over my body and I sped up our steps, almost pulling the boys along.

I felt Sebastian lean down towards me once both him and Chris caught up, "I have seat warmers." He whispered. I could sense the smile on his face, and I just shook my head, glancing at him. His eyes looked dark because of the night, but there was a shimmer of contentment coming through. I almost began questioning the reasoning behind it, but I stopped myself.

I basically jumped into the passenger seat when Sebastian unlocked his car. I closed the door and buckled up, rubbing my hands up and down my thighs as a means to defrost them as best I could. I pulled down the sun visor and slid the mirror open, gazing at the mess that my hair was currently in.
