"I know that, but your dad's mind is something which never changes. I wanted to pursue psychology, none in that family supported me , rather forced me to bend according to their wishes.I just couldn't do that."

"The past never can never be changed, why can't you forget and forgive everything and come to visit us at least once?"

"I wish the same, but yeah let's see what happens"

This is exactly when Raghuram called Jayasree downstairs, she reluctantly  paused the conversation with her mama to join her dad. He looked sad more than tensed today . He was staring at his wife's pic and called jayu beside him.

"Hi, Appa" She said as she went into his room and sat on the couch next to him. There were many people in the living room, probably our entire family, he was alone in this room. " I need to talk to you about something" he said. " Yes Appa " She said. "It's about Jaanu's marriage"

Jaanu's marriage , again! she would've said no

." I've seen a guy, Iyer caste settled in chennai itself. I thought he would be suitable for our Jaanu" he said."Iyer caste? I mean wow." Jayu said.

"The best part is she has agreed to meet him"

"That's fantastic!!! She has never even said a yes to the meetings "Jayu became all the more excited.

" Thats exactly why everyone is assembled in the hall. All of them are super ecstatic, so I thought of saying this to you in front Amma" he said by pointing towards Lakshmi's picture

"Yes amma would've been very happy to know that her lovely daughter is getting married, or at least said yes to one"

"Anyways , let's go to the hallway " and both left the room to the same

JAANU'S POV

I'M NEVER GONNA FORGET THIS DAY IN MY LIFE. IT ALL STARTED YESTERDAY WHEN ACHAN BROUGHT UP THAT SAME DREADFUL TOPIC YET AGAIN. MY MARRIAGE, I REALLY DON'T KNOW WHY THIS IS HAPPENING TO ME.THINGS THAT HAD HAPPENED IN THE PAST  STILL HAUNTS ME, IT'S BEEN MORE THAN 12 YEARS, PEOPLE AROUND ME ASK TO FORGET HIM,,,HOW CAN I? HIS DESPERATE FACE WHEN HE CRIED FOR ME !! THAT STILL LINGERS IN MY MIND WHENEVER I THINK OF HIM I JUST CANNOT HELP MY TEARS. HE'S BEEN MY LIFE. FOR HIM , I MEANT THE WORLD, AND NOW LOOK AT ME GETTING READY FOR TYING THE KNOT YET ANOTHER TIME.

I'D MANAGED TO KEEP DAD AWAY FROM BRIGING THE MATTER OF MARRIAGE AGAIN OVER THESE YEARS, BUT HE SEEMS SO CONCERNED OF HAVING THIS DONE. I GOT THE GUY'S PIC THOUGH. HE'S A TAMIL BRAHMIN , MY APPA HAD ASKED FOR OUR MARRIAGE IN RETURN OF THE FAVOR I HAD DONE . I HAD SAVED THIS JAY'S FATHER             COMPANY FROM GRAVE BANKRUPTCY  DURING THIS PANDEMIC. THAT'S OK , I NEVER NEEDED ANY FAVOUR IN RETURN OER ANYTHING LIKE THAT, BUT WHEN ACHAN SAID HE 'S GONNA ASK FOR A FAVOUR ON BEHALF OF ME, I  DID'NT HAVE THE FAINTEST CLUE ABOUT THIS CHAOTIC IDEA.LET ME LOOK AT HIS FACE ONCE MORE

LET ME LOOK AT HIS FACE ONCE MORE

HMMM ....HE LOOKS HANDSOME , I STILL CAN'T FIGURE OUT WHY DID I SAY YES TO MEETING HIM WHEN EVERYONE ASKED YESTERDAY, LIKE I DID'NT EVEN THINK TWICE AND SIMPLY BLURTED OUT A YES JUST BY LOOKING AT THIS PICTURE OF HIS. SOMETHING'S DEFENETILEY GOTTEN INTO MY HEAD AND I SIMPLY CAN'T FIGURE OF WHAT IS IT

NOW I HAVE TO MEET HIM TOMORROW
