JOKER ✗ CARDS

You let out a small sigh as you were surrounded by the huge crowd. For some reasons the people in the market doubled this day. You looked around as you started to buy necessary you need in everyday life. As you pay for it you went directly to a bench to sit. You are a member of a Fire Force Company 8 and today was your day off. You were on your way back to the headquarters when you feel a presence behind you. You lured the person who were following you to a dark alley. You went to hide into a couple of containers as you started to draw some cards.

"Ehhh? You also use cards? You're quite interesting!"

You hear from your behind as your eyes widen. You looked at him and saw it was Joker. Shinra encountered him for many times. You stood up as you draw a card and saw it was a scythe. As you spin your card into your pointer finger slowly a scythe appeared as you swing it towards the man.

"The card turns to a weapon?! You're really interesting! You're not a normal person!"

As he dodge the attack that were from you. You jumped as far as you can when you realized your groceries dropped. Your eyes widen as you let out a sob. Your scythe turn to a card once again as you rushed to your groceries.

"My food~"

"Eh? We're in the middle of fighting but you only care about your food?"

"FOOD IS LIFE! SO SHUT UP!"

You picked your groceries up and placed it to the plastic bag. You dusted your dress as you stood up. When you lifted your chin up, a smoke covered your surroundings. It was Joker who were smoking cigarette as he blow out the smoke right to your face. You let out an annoyed smile as you grab him by his collar.

"Learn some respect!"

You lifted him up as you make him hit the floor so hard. Joker's eyes were just widen as he tries to sink the scenario into his mind. He blinks few times as you went out of the alley. He stood up and started to follow you.

"Join me."

"No thanks."

"You're an interesting lady join me."

"I said no thanks."

You looked around to buy something to eat as he keeps following you. Did I just earn a stalker by beating this guy up? Those words ran through your mind while he keeps blocking your view with his face.

"Get out of my way sir. Are you a lost child?"

You placed your hand to his cheeks as you forcefully make it out of your sight as started to walk again.

"I'm lost in your eyes."

"Well I have two eyes while you only have one because of your fashion trend hiding the other one."

You said bluntly as you pointed out his eye that were being covered by a scarf. He smiled widely as he pointed it out.

"You wanna see it?"

"Why would I? Is your eye like a fortune lucky? Once you see it a bunch of money will come?"

He acts like he was hurt so much by yours blunt words. He placed his chin on top of your head as he speak.

"I said you're interesting."

"Who cares?"

"I do dear."

Your eyes widen with the name he called you. You let out a sigh as held his ear. You feel him smiling as his ear moves upward. Probably happy with your gentle touch until you drag him in front of you using his ear.

"That won't work on me."

"Why?! Are you lesbian?!"

"EXCUSE ME?!"

You yelled which makes everyone look at you and there's confusion in there eyes. You just bowed your head as you apologized. You looked at Joker who were satisfied with your flushed state out of embarrassment you just take. You held his wrist as you drag him where there are less people. As you stopped you make him face you as you pointed out his face.

"Listen here you little shit. I don't want to play game with you. I just want to enjoy my day off so leave me alone! You already make my day off worse so please leave me alone!"

"I take orders from no one unless it's interesting."

You face palm as you see him smiling widely. As you let our a sigh.

"Can you like shut up?"

"Sure."

"Wait what-"

You keep asking him but he wasn't saying anything. He was just looking directly to your eyes. Which make you burst out of anger as you step into his feet and ran away. Frustration, that's all you have as you plopped down to the sofa in your headquarters. After running too fast just to get away from him.

"(Y/N)-san there's a letter for you."

"For me? Oh thank you."

You took the letter from Maki who smiled at you. You slowly opened the letter as you see an unfamiliar handwriting.

I know you are working under the Haijima Industries. I also know why, for your younger sister who were being experimented by those fools. To stop their operation on her you have to work under them. You wanna know who am I? Meet me at the rooftop right in front of the headquarters later. See you hon.

You crumpled the paper out of annoyance as you gritted your teeth. Who would dig out of your information? Who would care about you and your secrets? You let out a sigh out of frustration.

The next time you know you were on your way to a building right in front of the headquarters. As you went directly to the rooftop you saw no one just the cold breeze that touches your skin. You were about to leave when you hear a footsteps. As you titled your head you saw Joker who were smiling.

"So it was you? How did you know?"

"To spice things up."

"Leave me alone and my sister."

"Sister? I don't even know if your sister even exist."

Your eyes widen as you smiled nervously.

"What are you talking about? You know it! I have a younger sister!"

"Unless Haijima were manipulating your memories right?"

Your eyes widen as you read the paper he took out of his sleeve. It shows that you were a test subject for a drug that manipulates memories of the certain person. You fell on your knees as you started to cry.

"Then that means...."

"Your sister doesn't even exist."

You sat quietly to the floor as you hug your knees and looking down. Joker crouched in front of you as he wipe your tears. Hugging you tightly as he plant kisses on top of your head.

"Don't worry I'll make them pay."

"But why-"

"Let's say you took my interest and also affection."

"Joker-"

"Be grateful and love me back."

You sniffed as you hugged him tightly back.

I guess that not all villain in someone's eyes were bad at all. They just seek for justice in their own ways.
