Joshua's Pov:

10 a.m. already. I had had the worst sleep I've had in years. Since I was 15, to be exact. When my mum and dad were getting divorced. I wasn't sad because of that, technically. I was sad because dad was sad. Couldn't care less about mum though. She cheated on dad and left Faith and me. She can go fuck herself.

I managed to get to sleep last night at around 7 and just woke up. All I could think about is Kaida. What the kiss would have been like. What would've happened if I kissed her. What Levi would do if he found out. Considering I normally get around 7 hours, that was painful. Unfortunately, since I get 7 hours of sleep, most of my homework doesn't get in. But, to be fair, who could care less about homework?

Wearing only jogger bottoms, I walked to the stairs and started to hear faint music. As I walked down, it got louder. I walked into the kitchen to see Kaida in my hoodie, dancing to Green Day and using a spoon is a microphone. Faith was dancing with her even though she didn't know the music. She copies off Kai whenever she can.

"Hey, Faith!" I ruffled her hair as I walked past. "Morning, Princess." I flung my arm around her shoulder and smiled.

"Good morning, Teddy Bear." She booped my nose. Ah, Teddy Bear. The nickname given to me years ago by the one and only Kaida Winter Xanders. She found out that I slept with a teddy and never stopped teasing me about it. In my defense, it was a teddy that she gave me so of course I loved it. "How did you sleep?"

"Not too good." I shrugged and let go of her.

"Aw, why?" She tilted her hair and gave me a curious glance.

"Too hot." I lied. I knew she could tell I was lying since she looked at me with a tired expression but she didn't question it. "What about you?" She simply shrugged as an answer. "Did you burn toast?" I realised the horrid smell in the kitchen that the toast must have left.

"Pfft. No!" She said while slowly nodding her head.

"How are you so smart?" I chuckled and flicked her head before opening a window. "How'd you sleep, Faith?" I picked her up and sat her on the kitchen island.

"I had the bestest sleep in the world!" She giggled. "I dreamed about fairies and- and- and about unicorns and magic and princesses and everything amazing!" She squealed excitedly. "You and Kaida were even in it at one point!"

"Oh, wow, really?" I smiled.

"Why were we in it?" Kai glanced over curiously.

"You two..." she leaned in to whisper to us as if she was gonna tell us where to buy drugs. "You two kissed!" She giggled after she said that.

"Maybe we can make that dream a reality." I half-joked as I grabbed Kai's chin and smirked. She rolled her eyes at me and pushed me away.

"Hah! Maybe if you want Levi to kill you." She glared at me. She did not like that joke one bit, did she? She walked over to the couch and sat on it with her arms crossed. I picked Faith up off of the counter and placed her back on the floor so she could run to the living room and sit with Kaida. I was next to them both. I put on Aladdin so we could finish it and, after that, Zootopia. After about 30 minutes of movies. I looked over to Kai and Faith. Faith was now on the floor, infront of Kai. Speaking of Kai, when I looked, I managed to catch her staring at my chest and abs. She looked away and her face went the colour of a cherry.

"See something you like, Princess?" I laughed.

"Go put a shirt on!" She rolled her eyes.

"Why? Distracting, am I?" I teased.
