Friendship can happen in all sorts of ways.
It can be completely by chance, or occur over a long period of time, or flick on and off like a light switch. However, everyone knew that Albus Potter and Scorpius Malfoy were always meant to become friends.
The two of them liked to think everything happened for a reason. Good times, bad times, friendship, love, death, all of that.
It might sound kind of cliche that they became friends during their fifth year at Hogwarts, but that's just the way it was meant to be. Their paths just didn't intertwine until then.
Of course, a year later, the lives of the two boys were quite intertwined.
And yet, there were still some things - very important things, really - that each had yet to learn about the other...
