"Hello Lesso. May I ask where you were?" Dovey had cornered Lady Lesso during their lunch break, since the Dean seemed to have been avoiding Dovey since this morning.

"I was away on school master business." She answered curtly. It was half true. One year ago, the schoolmaster noticed that she was visiting her son. He said that if she ever returned, she would never be able to teach or show her face at the school.

But a year later, she was worried about her only son. People say that evil people don't have feelings, but they do. So she put a spell on her classroom, where she could detach her spirit and leave it there. Since the school master checks in with his spirit, he will never know that she is missing. She needed to see how Aric was.

Back before the school master found out about Aric, she would come and teach him basics, math, English, spells and she even unlocked his finger to teach him magic.

When she got there, the only thing he really said to her was he was starving, and why did you disappear for so long? He asked her why she didn't return after all this time, but she did not reply. She only gave him some food and explained this was going to be the last time he would see her. Because of this, it was time to take everything he had learned and use it. She gave him a kiss on the head, turned her back on him, walked out, never looking back.

Lesso walked away from Dovey and continued to the teacher line. The teachers and the students eat differently, and have different food lines. Today's lunch was chicken in stew, with a side of warm bread.

"I can feel it." Lesso said, when Dovey came and sat down at the table.

"Excuse me?" Dovey said, confused.

"Evil is going to win this year. That Sophie girl...She's good. Her talent I mean."

Dovey managed a halfhearted shrug, and continued eating.

One hour later, Dovey was at her desk, in front of half asleep kids.

"We are going to do a test on how to handle moral predicaments while at the ball. Don't forget that the Snow Ball and Trial by Tale is coming up! You should have received the invitation for the snow ball this morning."

Agatha looked frantically around, hoping that someone else hadn't seen the letter. No one else seemed bothered by the statement. Se must have missed it when she got out of bed this morning.

Professor Dovey started passing out the tests, and when Agatha get one, she stared blankly at the first question;

1. if you were to attend the Ball with someone other will other than your first choice, but your fist choice, who your madly in love with, asks you dance you:

A) Kindly inform them that if they wanted to dance with you they should have asked you to the ball.

B) Dance will them, but only to a fast-paced song.

C) Ditch your date for your first choice.

D) Ask your date what they are comfortable with.

She thought for a second and circled D. Underneath it, she wrote,

Unless no one would ever ask you to a Ball, let alone to dance. Then this question doesn't apply.

The next question asked-

2. Upon arriving at the Ball, you notice your friend's breath smells very much. However your friend is going with the person you hoped would ask you to Ball. Do you:

A) Inform your friend at once of their breath.

B) Say nothing since it is your friend's fault that they smell.

C) Say nothing because you will enjoy watching them be embarrassed.

D) Offer them a piece of sweet licorice without mentioning their breath.

Agatha answered A. After she added, "Because at least bad breath is temporary. Ugly is forever."

She was the third person to finish when she turned her test in. Dovey smiled warmly as Agatha placed her paper on the small stack. She had her head down on the desk the rest of the class, thinking.

At the end of the period, Dovey put the red marked tests on a scale, and sighed. "What kind of answers are these?! You're supposed to be good, not-" She took a breath, shaking her head.

Dovey handed back the tests, which Pollux had graded with her. Agatha was afraid to look at the test when it landed on her desk, afraid that she would be lower than everyone. She peeked at the corner of the page and saw a 100.

She stared at the tiny numbers, shocked.

"Class dismissed." Dovey sighed.
