-The picture above is a drawing of Xavier that was made by Aur528! They offered to draw him a while ago, however, due to my hiatus I am just now sharing this with everyone. This is a really good depiction of him :)!

I would like to take a quick moment to apologize but also inform everyone of what is going in my life currently. Unfortunately, I have tested positive for COVID-19. My symptoms are not very severe, I just have major headaches and some occasional chest pains with a small cough. It's really not that bad for me, however, I have found little energy to write recently. This was fairly unfortunate timing since I had just started this book up again, so I apologize that there was once again a delay in releasing a new chapter. I will still be trying to continue writing, but definitely slower. With any luck, my symptoms will clear in the next week or two, but you never know. Thank you for your patience with me.

Anyway, Enjoy!-

Normal P.O.V.

"Aaaand...done!" A neatly tied little bow hung around Carla's tail. "Aww, she looks so cute!" Wendy exclaims, cuddling Carla into her arms.

"Are you sure she likes that? If I were a cat, I wouldn't want to be strangled to death," Xavier comments from the couch.

"Of course she likes it!" Wendy looked down at the pure white cat in her arms. "Don't you?"

Carla meows happily, curling up into her lap while Wendy's smile widens.

Natsu rushes down the stairs, immediately reaching for the front door, but jolts. "Oh, shoot, my tie!" He ran upstairs and came back down shortly after, grumbling about having to wear something so formal.

"Are you going to work?" Wendy pouts, still on the floor with Carla.

"Yeah, sorry," Natsu smiles gently. "I know it's a Saturday, but I really have to go in."

"That's okay. I understand." She looks down at Carla. "At least I have someone to keep me company now!"

"What about me?" Xavier butts in.

Wendy looks over in confusion. "Why would I want to hang out with you?"

Natsu stifles a laugh and ruffles her hair. "I'll be back by six."

"See you later!"

"Bye, loser."

Natsu rolls his eyes with a smile as he closes the door and makes his way to work.

Wendy stares at the closed door for a minute or two, hugging Carla closely. "He's always at work," She mutters.

She knew him always being gone was not his fault. He was providing for their family to make sure they could actually live comfortably, something they had never been able to do before.

She knew that this life is certainly better than the one they had. They were no longer struggling to make ends meet, truly scraping the bottom of the barrel just to be able to eat something for one night. They were now able to have actual heating, so nights were not nearly as cold, plus running water so they did not have to go down to the river or get water and stores. They had electricity that would hold up for more than a few months and they had more entertainment such as TVs and cellphones.

She knew this was what the two had dreamed about for years. A real house and a stable income.

She knew Natsu was trying his best to be there, even with how demanding work can be.
