Alec: Rescue

It's only been an hour since I caught up with the kidnappers and when I realized that the girl I had met, Aria Reyli, was the person kidnapped, I stole a jet and followed their ship. And, wow does the kidnapper's security suck.

I mean like Brayden could get in their ship without anyone noticing and man, that guy is clumsy and crazy noisy. I have no idea how he hasn't gotten himself kicked out of the Forces yet.

Since 'my' jet was like a million times smaller than their ship, I landed on top of them. And as, you know, they had no security... whatsoever, it was really simple to get inside. Everyone seemed to be wearing normal clothing so I didn't need to steal a uniform. I left my helmet on because almost everyone in the Universe would recognize me right now and I don't think they'd be expecting me on their ship.

I began walking to what I assumed was where prisoners were, trying to look more confident than I felt, if I messed up, I'm not the only one that would be hurt. I honestly think Aria is their first prisoner 'cause there is absolutely none security. (Yeah I know, I've said that way too many times.) I wonder why she of all people were kidnapped?

My heart rate spiked when I saw a guarded door at the end of a hall. At least a guard was standing outside, they weren't that stupid.

I had managed to figure out the name of the ship's captain while walking through the halls, which I hoped would help me. "I'm here to replace you," I told the man standing guard.

"I just replaced Racey." He looked skeptical and suspicious, shit.

"Sorry, man, Captain Trae's orders."

"You have proof?"

"Would you like me to call Captain Trae? You know how she gets when she's mad." I took a guess, hoping she was strict and harsh.

"Fine. But I'm going to double-check," I take back what I said earlier, the people here were really stupid, I mean who would leave their post right after they arrived? And leave it to someone they didn't even know. At least he was going to check that I was really meant to replace him. We would just have to hurry then.

Okay, this is gonna be really easy, I mean compared to last time. And I don't have a gun this time or any weapon so hopefully, that's not a problem and I can just grab Aria and go.

I open the door and walk in, the previous guard gave me his keys before leaving. I look around, this looks nothing like a prison. Actually, it looks more like a hotel room. The only thing it's missing is an AI or any other technical thing that has the ability to communicate.

"Aria?" I call quietly. No answer.

"Aria?" Louder this time.

"Who is it?" I hear a quiet response from the far corner of the hold.

"Your rescuer." I come into her line of sight, giving her a slight bow. There's something familiar about Aria, I don't know what it is though. I feel like I've seen her somewhere before, somewhere that wasn't base.

She rolled her eyes. "What? Not happy to see me?"

"No," she snapped. Great. Why did I waste time rescuing someone who doesn't want to be rescued? At least by me. "I'm not."

"What'd I ever do to you?" I mumble under my breath.

"What was that?" She asks.

"Uh...nothing." I'll wait till we're out of here to ask her.

She glares at me, "Well did you come here because you wanted to sit in this hold with me, or are we leaving?"
