I wake up to the smell of breakfast wafting around the house. I walk downstairs, still in my pajamas.
"Good morning Jas." I hear mom say in the kitchen. "Morning. What are ya making Mom?" I reply. I sit down on a seat near the island. Bella sees me and wags her tail. "Hey Bella Mella." I lean down and pet her head. "Your favorite! French toast!" Mom smiles. I smile back at her.

I finished my delicious breakfast and went upstairs to get ready for school. I got ready, then returned downstairs. I grab my bag, then get my sneakers on. "See ya later Mom!"
Little did I know, I wouldn't.
I wake up. My house still seems so...empty. No smell of food, no mom, no nothing. I look at my phone. '6:37..'
I see a text notification from Alex.Alex: Are you up yet?
Me: yea now i am
Alex: ok sorry if I woke you. Do you still want me to pick you up for school?
Me: yea thats fine
Alex: alright. See you in 20?
Me: yep
~~~
I put my phone down on the wooden bedside table and stand up. I stretch and yawn. I put on a gray hoodie and black pants and walk downstairs. I quickly eat a toasted bagel and sit outside on my front porch. Alex drives up to my house and rolls down his window. "Hey, Jas." I look up. "Hi, Al." I smile. I stand up and walk over to the passenger side of his car. I open the door and sit. I yawn again. "Tired?" I nod. "Well, what time did you go to sleep?" I laugh at that. "I uh..4:30...." I mumbled. "4:30!? That's way too late!" He exclaimed. I rolled my eyes and looked out the window. 15 minutes later we were at the school. We both got out of the car, and we were met with Lea. Her usual playful expression was on her face. "Heeey guys! Have you seen Bianca yet?" I shook my head. "No, I haven't-"
"Sorry I'm late my lovelies!" I turn my head to see my black-haired friend running towards us. "Not as late as Harper." Lea joked. We all went inside and went through first-period math. After class, I then saw Harper in the hallway. "You missed the whole first period Harper!"
"Uh sorry?" I playfully rolled my eyes. "Whatev." I shrugged. I have English with him. "Let's go to English." We both walked to class and sat down in our normal seats. Mr. Vincent looked up. "Ay Gonzalez, Mrs. Green called me, told me to give you detention for being late, but I really don't care since this isn't her class." He went back to grading homework. By far, Mr. Vincent was my favorite teacher, because he was chill. He never really cared to discipline students, unless they like, killed someone. We had easy work like we usually did. People who had trouble definitely were braindead. Harper was one. His thing is math. Mr. Vincent still liked him nonetheless.
My next class is..physics. Ms. Falore. Not a bad teacher. I sit through the class. No one I was friends with was in this class. Other than my cousin Lawrence. Undeniably, my favorite cousin, Lawrence was really nice and smart and had a good moral compass. Anyways, the bell finally rang and Ms. Falore said, "Alright class, remember to read chapters 3 and 4 tonight. Homework will be given tomorrow." One more class until lunch. Oh no. Negura. Negura was the definition of strict.
I walk into class, careful not to set off Negura. I sit down and- "Mr. Hawthorne." 'Oh shit.' He was talking to me. "Yes, Mr. Negura?" I say, trying not to sound nervous. "Where is your 61-E homework I assigned two days ago?" I gulped. "Uh...I ehm..don't have it." He looked pissed. "Detention. After school." Wonderful. Absolutely wonderful.
