Chapter 2

I wake up and I hear my alarm going off non-stop. As I turn it off I punched my pillow. I didn't want to get up knowing Cody is going to be here in a couple of hours. I lay in bed thinking about if it's worth getting out of bed.
" Nah I said and just as I was about to close my eyes my mom knocks on my door."
" Brianna! I heard your alarm go off are you up already?" She yells at my door.
" Can we reschedule with Cody? My bed is too comfortable to get out of," I yelled at her back
" Get ready now or I'll pick out your clothes, and you know what I'll make you wear!" She yelled at me back.
" Nah I'm good," I said quickly as I get up from my comfortable bed.
I turn on the shower and as I waited for it to get warm I go in my walk in closet and pick out my outfit. I wanted to be comfortable and pick joggers and a hoodie, but I knew that would piss off my mom. So I just went with a open back wrap daisy dress and my white vans. As I'm in the shower I love the hot water hitting my body. I must have took a long shower because my mom called me and asked if I was ready.
" Yea I'm just putting my lipstick on!" I yelled.
" Brianna! I hear the shower running and an echo! Hurry up! He's going to be here in an hour!" She yelled through the phone.
I ended the call and turn off the shower. I dry off and put my cloths on quick. I sit in my vanity mirror and blow dry my hair and start curling it. I put some music on so my room isn't dead silent and so I can forget about the reason of me getting all dressed up.
After I curl my hair I start doing my makeup, I wanted to be basic since it's no special occasion. As I put my setting spray on my face I get a text from a random number.
" Good morning beautiful, I'll be there in 15 minutes. Can't wait to see you."
I knew it wasn't Bryan because his contact name didn't ring with the message, so I knew it was Cody. I was kinda pissed that he got my number because I knew he would call or text me nonstop after today. I turn my music off and go to my balcony. I loved the view of the city. When we first moved into the mansion my dad already had this room picked out for me. I smiled as I was remembering him and then my mom calls me downstairs. I sigh and prayed that this day would get over quickly.
As I go down stairs I see my mother and Cody waiting for me down the stairs, he had roses in his hands. Even though he has charming I had feelings for Bryan.
" Good morning Beautiful," he said as he hugged me and gave me the roses. I thanked him and we followed my mom to the kitchen. I placed the roses on the kitchen island and my mom said,
" I hope you guys are hungry because our chefs made crepes with lots of fruits. You guys will love it. It's in the backyard," she said while smiling at Cody and I. I lead Cody to our big backyard.
"Damn nice backyard," he said.
"Thanks my dad had good taste when he was looking for houses," I said while I looked at my backyard.
We sit down and the breakfast looks amazing, before I take a bite Cody asks me," So how-how was your sleep last night?"
I was kinda mad he interrupted my moment with my breakfast but I answer his question.
" It was great, I got ride of my headache with it," I said and I grab my fork and get a strawberry.
" What is your favorite thing to do if-if you had the day to yourself?" He asked another question while stuttering.
As I'm chewing my strawberry I think," Hmm, Working out, shopping, going out to the beach." I said, " How about you?" I asked him.
"I like to workout, take a drive and see a movie." He responded.
The breakfast date was going pretty good because he wasn't talking a lot. This is the second time I'm meeting him and I didn't remember him being quiet and nervous. When I first met him he would talk about himself and tell me how lucky I am that he's interested in me because other girls want him. That's why I didn't want to meet up with him today.
" Do- do you have anything else to do today Brianna?" He said while stuttering again.
" No not really, I was just going to take a swim after you left," I said while I drink my orange juice.
" Then can I take you to the beach? I know a spot you will like," he said eagerly.
Damn it why do I have to be so nice I thought to myself. But I felt bad for him( for being nervous and all) so I said,
" Yea...sure," I said while he smiled at me, "Let me grab my purse."
As I get up from the table he says with a smile," Ok I'll wait for you by the stairs."
As I'm walking in the kitchen my mom pops out and I jump back into him.
"How did it go guys?" She said smiling.
" good until you scared me," I said laughing.
" Mrs. Bella do you mind if I take Brianna to the beach, we'll be gone for a couple of hours." He said.
" He matured a lot since the last time I met him," I said to myself.
" No not at all you kids go have fun. It's a beautiful sunny day!" She said as I go upstairs to get my purse. I grab my purse and check my phone since I didn't have the chance to during breakfast. No messages or missed calls.
" Shoot I forgot to tell Bryan good morning," I said while texting him. I was texting him that I have to spend the day with Cody and that I'll get in trouble if Cody catches me texting him. I felt bad that I was doing this to Bryan but if I wanted to see him again I had to do this. He texted me back and says that he understands and he can't wait to call me when I get home.
As I'm walking downstairs, my mom and Cody are talking and he's making her laugh. I smiled since I liked that she was happy. Cody and I are leaving my house and we tell my mom goodbye. I get into his black Chevrolet Corvette and it was a pretty nice car. On the way to the beach he was talking so it wasn't an awkward silence.
"He may not be bad after all, we can maybe be friends but nothing more," I thought to myself.
