Chapter 1

North outfit-^

5 Days To Christmas

North POV:

After my pre-med class I went to my dorm room to pack my clothes for the Christmas holidays. Oh! I knew I forgot something, hi, my name is North Wayne. I am 21 years old and I am in my final year of college, I attend the Giants University.

I have a fiance by the name of Evan Meyers, he's a Quarterback of the Giants football team. We have been together since our senior year of high school, he proposed to me last Christmas.

So his parents knows my parents before mines moved to the UK, about 2 years ago. But 10 months ago Evan's mom, Mrs. Grace Meyers passed away, she had a weak heart. This is going to be his first Christmas without his mom and all I can do is just be there for him.

After I finished packed, I locked up my dorm room since my roommate/bestfriend left yesterday for Canada. I pulled my 2 suitcases behind me to my 2016 black jeep, I put them in the back and went to the football field where I know I would find Evan.

I stood next to the Coach Packer as he yelled at one of the players, "I need Evan" I said bluntly as I steered at the field.

"You my be my niece, but am not stopping practice for you" he told me rolling his eyes, yes niece, he's my mother's big brother.

"Am your only niece, plus you know what this Christmas means" I said sadly, but he only gave me a look and ignored me.

After a few minutes of silence between us I let out a loud sign, "ok tell Evan, I've gone a head" I told him, he nod his head and blew his whistle, so I left.

3rd POV:

"I thought you and North were coming here last night?" Walter asked his son over the phone as he sat on the floor of his kitchen.

"We were, but North had a last minute Pre-Med class and Coach drop another practice on us, but am on my way now. North should be there in a few minutes though" Evan told him.

"Alright, alright. Just drive safe and none of them tweet booking, face programming, snap whatever it is Okay" Walter tells him. "Dad it's-..." Evan went to correct him but got cut off by coach Packer "88!" Coach says to get his attention.

"Yeah, I got to go, I'll see you soon, love you" he tells his dad then hang up the phone.

Coach took a seat next to him, coach hands him a tablet with the x-ray of his shoulder on it, "got an early Christmas gift, shoulders good as new" Coach Packer informed him happily.

"You can finally get off those meds and back on the field because you have been cleared for the bull games!" Coach Packer tells him excitedly.

"Yes! 88 is back in the building man!" Evan shouts happily and his teammates congratulated him on his return.

"Thank you coach" he told him smiling, "listen am really proud of the hard work you been putting in lately, and am not saying that because your North's boyfriend. And I know this is going to be your first holiday at home without your..." he trails off.

"Coach, you know what? Am really good, am good" he told him smiling at him, "ok, alright, happy holidays" he told him and got up off the bench, "same to you" Evan says.

"Alright everyone, I don't want y'all pigging out on the holidays, we got to win this thing!" Coach announced to all the players in the locker room.

Evan took up one foot of his bright red shoes and took out his bottle of pain killers, he look around to make sure no one was watching him and he slip the pill bottle into his backpack.

I pulled up into the Meyers driveway and grab my phone off the passenger seat beside me to text Evan.

To Evan:
Just got here safely, just waiting on you now.

From Evan:
I'll be there in a few, love u 😘

To Evan:

From Evan:

To Evan:
U nasty! like I told u everytime we r not doing it in ur parents house.

From Evan:

To Evan:
It's been 2 days 😑

From Evan:

To Evan:

I giggled as I turn off my phone and got out of the car and got my bags from the back. I walked up to the front door and open it since I knew the door is like never closed.

That's some white people shit, cause I don't leave my door open for people to just walked in. But then again this is a really great neighborhood to live in so you can do that.

As I walked in I saw Sonya, Christian's wife (Evan's brother), Rachel (Evan's sister), Cheryl (Evan's sister), Cheryl's husband Lonnie, and Walter (Evan's dad), Lonnie was handing out something.

"Hey! Hey! Hey!" I scream once I got in with my bags, "North!" They screamed back and hugged me.

"Here's a Christmas gift for you" Lonnie says handing me a basketball card from when he was a player.

"Thanks Lonnie" I said awkwardly with a small smile, "hey, it's going to be very valuable one day, if anything happens to me something good will happen to you in a good way" he tells me smiling.
