Chapter 7
Being woken up with a rough shake was not my idea of a good morning.
Glancing up into Alex's large blue eyes drilling holes into my face I stop my complaints and wait for him to talk.
He looked at me for a second before realizing how close he was. Watching his retreating figure I let a sigh leave my lips.
He looks at me quickly. "I need to go some where and I need a helper."
"You can not take me hunting with you." I almost yell. I feel the panic bubble up in the pit of my stomach. My eyes search his as he watches me from the other side of the room.
He slowly shakes his and put his hands behind his back. "No I am not going to take you hunting." He sighs with an irritated expression on his face.
His eyes flicker to my lips quickly before they return to look at me from eye level. "Good because I would not be able to sit there and watch you kill my kind." He snorts then pulls up at chair to sit in.
"I need to pick up a few things from the store and other places." He leans back in the chair putting his large hands in his lap.
His hair flops into his eyes and he pushes it back with one of his massively sized hands.
I look him over and cross my arms over my chest. "Why don't you just take Ben." I say slowly as I raise one of me eyebrows at him.
He scrunches up his forehead and gets this kind of annoyed look to him. "Because I need you for something. Okay."
He sighs and runs his fingers through his hair and bites his perfectly pink lips. "I told Ben already so we can just leave him to sleep. Also I need you to wear the things I bought you."
He pulls a bag out from behind the chair and starts to dig through it. "You bought me cloths. Why?" I stare at his hunched over figure and try to understand his motives for buying me clothes.
"First of all I did not buy you things from the goodness of my heart because I don't have a good side to my heart. So do not go all mushy on me." He say rudely as he violently pulls martial from the plastic bags.
"Secondly I got them because of that large marking on your wrist. It is to noticeable. Those eyes of yours are too. How should I say it." He pause and a weird expression lifts onto his face.
"Angel. Too angel." He nods his head as if he agrees with his own statement then starts to chuck different things at me.
Slowly picking up the cloths between my fingers I look at the long sleeved shirts and small skinny jeans.
"My marking is not that big." I glance down at the detailed lines and curves of the angel marking just under my palm.
The angel marking is something all angels are born with. It rests on the wrist of the persons right hand.
My marking was a gold color with three circles all around a pair of big golden wings. The circles have little dots or circles running along the sides.
It is very beautiful to my eyes but I guess not everyone sees it that way.
"Your marking is massive compared to the ones I have seen over the years. So go put the jeans and shirt on. I will help you with the contacts after."
I stand up slowly and hold all the fabric in both arms as I take the journey to the bathroom.
Opening the door and stepping inside I look closely as the mark covering my wrist. Its has curved lines all around the large wings in the middle. I never thought it was that big but I guess my thoughts are wrong.
