yes yes I know I have not updated this since march but I am going to try to upload some more tips regularly now!

now, onto the money saving topic of this chapter: thrifting!!

personally I prefer thrifting for most of my clothes because that definitely saves you so much more money (especially if you are like me and make a little over minimum wage). however, make sure it's something that is worth the price, because, gentrification of thrift store prices has become a thing (mostly thanks to resellers) and some thrift stores will try to rip you off! for example, they may price all shirts at $3. now if you find a forever 21 shirt there... probably not worth it, but if you find say, a nike shirt, that's probably more worth it! my local goodwill really be trying to charge $3.99 for forever 21 tees that probably ended up selling for $2 in the clearance section.

also lowkey goodwill (and salvation army) is not a good company so I like to stick to little mom and pop type shops or those sponsored by churches because they have a lot more reasonable prices because they're not out to make much of a profit and instead want to help people :)

now let's just talk about some stuff I have found at thrift stores!

some of my favorite finds include:

• both the entire prequel and original trilogy dvds! I don't know who would donate their Star Wars dvds but I snatched those up for a total of $30 if I remember right (and last time I checked it costs over $100 if I were to have bought on Amazon)

• a burberry purse for $3. yes you read that right. it had a little stain that my mom was able to get out. I just don't use it bc lowkey it's kinda ugly but it was designer so I had to have it

• a straight out of the 2000s almost brand new dooney and bourke purse also for $3. I haven't used this one yet but you best believe I will be if I wanna flex a 2000s fit.

• not my but my friend found an adidas jogger and jacket set WITH TAGS. and they didn't end up fitting her so she just gave them to me. which I am very very very grateful for!!

• adidas track pants, adidas yoga pants, and two nike jackets for $2-$3 each. I am a hoe for adidas pants so I immediately scooped those up and the nike jackets are so simple and cute and I love them!!

• I found not one, but two pairs of Chelsea boots that looked like they were straight out of 2015 Harry Styles' closet, a plaid skirt, a pair of jeans and something else (i don't remember what this was a while ago) for a total of like $7!

• a rogue one t shirt!! I don't remember how much I paid for it but as soon as I saw it I was like this is mine now. I think I've found other Star Wars shirts too but I have so many I can't remember where I got all of them lmao

• I probably sound like an old lady but I got a giant box full of name brand tupperware (which believe it or not is actually expensive) and other kitchen supplies (including some stuff from pampered chef which is also expensive) for a grand total of $40

• two pairs of steve madden heels for $3 a pair. and one pair I found online retailing for $90!!!

• a bright red peacoat that makes me look like I am rich (like east coast old money rich) for like $6

• an almost brand new old navy windbreaker for 50 cents

• and my friend always finds super cool looking 80s windbreakers (like the brightly colored ones that actually are from the 80s) at thrift stores and has a whole collection of them! and she recently moved so she gave me and my best friend each one that didn't fit her anymore and it's so cute and I always get compliments on it!! (this is also the same girl who gave me the adidas set so moral of the story she is an amazing person and I love her 🥺)

these are not all of my finds BUT take from me. go thrifting!! sometimes it's hit or miss but it's definitely worth the time! I hope I helped you all :)
