The next morning the alarm clock was ringing like crazy on Y/n's nightstand, making the whole furniture vibrate. Y/n stretched her lazy arm to turn it off and without moving an inch she resumed her sleeping. A certain furry friend jumped on her face, making her squint and groan.
"Oreoo! Just five more minutes" She shooed the cat off her face but she would meow loudly, piercing her sleepy owner's ears.
"Ughh, fine! I'm getting up" She sat on the bedside and yawned as she rubbed her sleepy eyes.
Y/n followed her morning routine that consisted of washing her face, brushing her teeth and of course having breakfast along with her cat. She opened the lower cabinet in her kitchen, taking out a small can of cat food and poured the content on the hungry cat's bowl.
The girl looked at the wall clock opposite of the kitchen counter, where she was making a coffee. 8:47. She had a class today starting at 10:00, but it wasn't really obligatory so she didn't have to go. She could simply ask someone for the notes and write the project on her laptop.
In this manner of thought, Y/n lazily took a thin blanket from her bedroom drawers and was chilling warmly on her soft couch, with a book and her cappucino in hand.
Reading was her favourite activity. It was her all time favourite, when from just a few lines of words you could create so many pictures in your head. Romance was one of her favourite genre, although in real life it was one of the things she feared the most...
Upon turning the pages of her book, her phone beside her rang silently, picking her attention because of the vibration she felt on her leg. She looked at the caller and picked up.
(S/n=Sister's name)
'Hey S/n''Hey little sis, how you doin?'
'I'm okay, you know college, classes. You?'
'Good, good. I decided to skip work today aand I'm chillin home with boo'
'That's nice. I skipped class today too and I'm chillin home with books' She laughed at her own pun.
'Ha ha. I think you lost your humor somewhere along the way out of our mom. Or maybe you're actually adopted as I for long have suspected'
'Oh shut up' The both of them laughed and then the line fell silent for just a while.
'Are you really okay though?' S/n's voice was serious.
'Yeah don't worry...'
'You know if anyone ever hurts you again-'
'Stop it S/n! I'm going to be fine...'
'Okay sorry...but what I said still goes. If anything happens you come to me kay?'
'Yeah...'
'I have to hang up, but we'll talk again yes?'
'Okie, love you'
'Love you tooo'
The call was over but Y/n kept staring at the black screen of her phone. She threw her head back on the pillow and sighed, while her phone was now lying on the small coffee table. Oreo came beside her owner and meowd, getting Y/n's attention. Y/n didn't talk to her as she usually did, she just swiflty stood up and went inside her bedroom to get changed.
Ready in her sportive outfit, she put on her earphones once she got out of her building and started jogging into the bright, warm sunlight.

Oikawa had finished his morning volleyball practice, ready to go home with his teammate, ace and roommate Iwaizumi. Or Iwa-chan as he liked to call him. While taking the route back home Oikawa stopped, leaving Iwaizumi walk a little further forward.
"Iwa-chan..."
"What did you do Shittykawa?" Iwa turned around with a pissed face and looked at a half panicked Oikawa searching his sports bag maniacally.
"I didn't do I lost..."
"What?" Iwa raised an eyebrow, whilst Oikawa had already started running back to retrieve his lost object.
"O-oi!!" Iwaizumi yelled after him with no response from his friend whatsoever.

Y/n supported herself at the wall of a big building, probably a gym, trying to catch her breath from the jogging. She noticed a small sports backpack lying on the small stepping stone, in front of the gym's entrance. Cooling down for a bit she approached the small blue bag, which seemed to have something inside.Oikawa
It wrote on it. Y/n opened it and saw a pair of seemingly expensive volleyball shoes. Forgot them probably, she thought. She found it was wrong for her to leave it there so she closed it again and got ready to leave with it. Y/n turned around to look at a panicked boy running up to her.
"Thank God, they're still here!! Thanks beautiful" Oikawa winked at the girl without immediately realizing who it was.
"No problem Oikawa-kun here" She handed him the bag and was ready to leave.
"Wait, Y/n right?"
"That's me yes"
"Well look at that. Fate just wanted this to happen" He said as he smirked at her.
"Or maybe coincidence" She smiled.
"Either way, you still owe me your number"
"Um I'm the one that found your shoes, soo I think that you're the one that owes me something" Y/n folded her hands as she shifted her weight to one leg.
"Fine then I'm all ears"
"Hmm, how about a coffee?"
"That's all? You can ask for anything and you want coffee? You sure?..." Oikawa had stepped closer to her, Y/n feeling the warmth radiating from his body.
"Very" Y/n pushed him away with her index finger "It's either coffee or nothing. You choose pretty boy. It's you who owes me anyway" She shrugged her shoulders and turned around to leave.
"Fine then. Coffee it is" Oikawa smiled"But you know I'm gonna have to get your number for that right?" Oikawa raised an eyebrow and smirked slyly.
"Not necessarily" Y/n said her final words and started running back home " Saturday 10 a. m. Corner Cafe!!!" She shouted to him without looking back.
Oikawa was left there smirking, thinking that things had turned one step easier for him. That he was one step closer to covering himself and Y/n under the sheets.
That's all he wanted.
The pleasure of the first rejection on his bed.
