Chapter 8: Let's party

'So you and Sugawara-kun are together now?!'

'Long story short...yeah'

'That's such great news! I'm so happy for you!!'

'Yeah... He is very sweet and he seems to love me...'

'You deserve it sis'

The line fell silent for a minute.

'You don't sound exactly happy though. Is something wrong?'

'No, no! I am happy, I really am'

'Okay then! My boss is calling me I have to go! Have fun Y/n and remember...stay safe' S/n winked behind the phone.

'Oh my god. Byeee S/n!'

'Love youu!'

Y/n hang up and sighed, her face being red from her sister's comment. Today she decided it was finally time to tell her sister about her fresh relationship. She knew she would get all excited and besides she couldn't keep something from her sister for too long. They had a special sibling bond.

There was one thing she didn't mention though. Oikawa. S/n didn't know about her sister's new friend. Y/n considered that it wasn't really something important that she had to fuss about. She very well knew about his player reputation and she didn't want to be one more piece in his girl collection anyways.

Nevertheless she saw something in him those few times they hang out. Something that made her doubt all the rumors, even if that was for a split second...

But it didn't matter anymore. Y/n was in a relationship with the sweetest person ever, according to her, and she was perfectly happy and content. Suga was the one for her. She loved him...

That time of the year was almost here for Oikawa. The spring open party. It was an annual party being organized, by each captain that was in charge of the team for the year in his college. This year it was Oikawa's turn.

Being social and popular was a plus as well, for him to be this year's host. Considering the recent events though, it definitely wasn't the best time for him. But it was his responsibility, so he had to do it.

The party was going to take place one week from today, so he had to be quick organizing and preparing everything. It was actually a big event around this Tokyo neighborhood, so everything had to be perfect, if Oikawa wanted to keep a nice image as the host.

Within the week of the party preparations, Oikawa and Y/n never really came in contact. Oikawa stopped going to the Corner Cafe, because he didn't want to run into her or Suga and Y/n never texted or called either.

Well, she actually wanted to. The thought came on her mind countless of times, remembering how he was that day at the cafe. But then again Suga had expressed how uncomfortable he was for Y/n and Oikawa to hang out. So everytime she was one step closer to give him a call or text she felt guilty and stopped.

Oikawa on the other hand, couldn't bring himself to talk to her anymore. Being fully aware of his feelings and Y/n's relationship, he didn't want to intervene. It would make things worse for both him and Y/n.

What he hated the most about this situation is how vulnerable he felt right now. He never felt like that. Or rather he hadn't felt like that in years...

His heart was aching...

One week passed by too fast. Oikawa had prepared almost everything and was now some hours before the party, relaxing with Iwa at home.

"The captain needs some break here" Oikawa groaned as he let himself slide on the couch.

"Stop complaining Trashykawa" Iwa was getting ready for the party in his bedroom, shouting back at him.
