Chapter 20.

Third person's P.O.V

Taeyeon took a sharp intake of breathe before closing her eyes.

"This is too painful." She thought..

Heechul noticed how uneasy Taeyeon was, he pulled her into a hug.

"Let it out.." He said softly, sooting Taeyeon's back.

"Why does he have to go? I just can't understand!" she cried into Heechul's clothes.

Heechul doesn't know any further of the situation, all he knows is that Luhan left without Taeyeon's knowledge.

"Try to understand, Taeyeon. I know it hurts that one day you woke up and he's gone without any reasons why---"

"He told me a reason.." She said.

"He said he left me because he loves me so much and he can't afford to lose me." She said in between sobs.

"Just...try to understand." Heechul said.

"I'll give you your time, I'll be outside." Heechul left his younger sister friend a kiss on the forehead and left her room.

"Baekhyun?" Heechul asked the silhoutte on the living room.

"Hyung." Baekhyun stood up and bowed to him.

"What are you doing here?" Heechul asked.

"I-uhh. I'm.. I'm waiting for something.." Baekhyun stuttered.

"In Taeyeon and Luhan's old apartment? How'd you even get inside? I locked the door when we went in."

"I have a spare key. And you said, we? Is...is she?"

"Yes Baekhyun she's with me. What is it you're waiting for?"

"You see, Luhan's been sending letters to Taeyeon." Baekhyun scratched the back of his neck.

"And you're keeping it because?"

"Because it'll be a thousand times harder and painful for her to let go of him. And I don't want that. I want her to move on as soon as she can."

"Baekhyun, the girl hates you."

"No, hyung. Don't misunderstand. I want her to move on so she won't undergo this type of torture. I want her to move on so she can be happy. I don't care if she doesn't love me, or if I'm the last person she wants to see. I just want her to let go."

"I admire you, Baekhyun. I know Taeyeon is just making excuses, when she said you're the reason behind her bruises. I can see that you're sincere, and you can't hurt her. I'm sorry, Baekhyun."

"It's okay, hyung. I know you're doing it for her. Please, don't make her come back here until she has completely recovered. This apartment holds too much memories. It just shatters her heart everytime." Baekhyun said.

"Thanks for your concern, Baekhyun."

"I'll come back when you leave. Take care of her hyung." Baekhyun pleaded.

"I will Baek. Take care of yourself." Heechul said.

Heechul's P.O.V

It has been a whole five months since Luhan left Taeyeon. I'm expecting Baekhyun's feelings would go away, but he gives love to the quote "Absence makes the heart grow fonder." He never missed a day to ask how Taeyeon is doing. And I can see Baekhyun really does care for her.

Taeyeon's recovery was fast. She was okay since the third month, but I need to be sure. So I'm not letting her go anywhere until today.

The first three months was a real wreck. She can't sleep, and when she tries she experiences nightmares, screaming for Luhan's name. She doesn't eat, talk or anything at all. Baekhyun came over one day, and she heard Taeyeon's screams while undergoing her nightmare. It brought the brave man to tears. I was expecting she would scream at Baekhyun when she sees him, but she didn't react. It would be so much nicer of she'd scream at Baekhyun, atleast I know she's responding.

Seeing her like this, makes me hate myself. Hate myself for I can't do anything, hate myself for I cannot stop the pain my unbiological sister is experiencing, hate myself for introducing Luhan to Taeyeon.

But knowing the main reason why Luhan left Taeyeon, is ont of the reason why I cannot sleep at night. Knowing Taeyeon would want to kill herself if she knew the real reason.

"Taeyeon-ah, stop eating your stomach might explode. Stop watching love stories you know it doesn't do you good."

"Oppa, how many times do I have to say I have been completely okay since month 3? And I can eat whenever I want!" She exclaims and I smiled. I never thought Taeyeon would be able to move on. Or this fast. I expected it would take her years.

"You're finishing my supplies!" I joked.

"Oppa, can I go back to the apartment now?" Taeyeon asked, diminishing the smile on my face. Here we go again.

"Taeyeon-ah, we already talked about this."

"But oppa, I'm already fine for two months. I need to go back to school. I need to see how my father is doing, my life is there."

I sighed.

"Oppa, please don't be feel bad. Im alright. Im really alright. And I'm not mad at Baekhyun anymore, I should say sorry for accusing him."

"Okay Taeyeon, but just because I believe you. And I know you're strong."

"Thank you for believing."

"I'll miss you, Saeng." I hugged her.

"I'll miss you too, thank you for putting up with me. I'll visit when I have the time. Thank you."

And again, Im like mommy bird letting go of baby bird.
