Percy's PoV

I appear in an alley on the Diagon Alley.

I start walking, looking for my cousin and his friends with my eyes.

"Percy!"

I turn around and see Harry, Ron and Hermione coming towards me.

Harry seems to be hiding something behind his back.

"How did it go? Do you have your wand?" My cousin asks me.

"Yes, perfect. Uh, what are you hiding behind your back?"

"Sorry, I didn't have time to wrap it."

And he hands me...

...a cage.

I look at him, puzzled.
"A cage?"

He smiles at me and nods to the left.
I look in the direction indicated and I see an owl take off from the roof of a building and come to land on the cage.

"She is yours. Happy Birthday Percy!"

I look at the owl, and...
oh my gods.

This owl has pure silvery gray eyes and beautiful plumage.

"This owl is special. Apparently, no one could get close to her, but when we went into the store, it came all by herself," Harry told me.

Of course he's special. It's not just any owl. It's an owl sent by her.

"I don't know what to tell you, Harry."

"Then don't say anything."

"Thank you very much, Harry."

I'm looking at Ron and Hermione.
"Thanks to you too."

Ron shrugs his shoulders.
"It's Harry's idea. "

Hermione, on the other hand, just nods her head.

"How are you going to call her?"ask Harry.

I'm thinking about it for a little while.
"Peth."

"Well, let's go join the others," says Harry.

And we'll set off, me with an owl, Athena's gift -or curse-.

After we'd made the last purchases, -toad eyes, really ?- we went back to the Burrow.

And I spent two magnificent weeks.
As if I was with a family. All that was missing was my mother and my stepfather.

One day, Harry and the others were playing Quidditch in the garden, and I was offered to try it.

"You have to climb on it and then you push with your foot to get off."

"Are you sure you want to give him a try, Harry? He could get hurt, he hasn't taken a class!" Says Hermione.

"I had the best teacher! Come on Harry, let's go!" I say.

Harry who was standing next to me straddled his broom and took off, rising before stopping a few meters higher.

"Cool."
I straddle the broom that was lent to me.

"Uh Percy?"

"Yes ?"

"The other way around."

"Oh!"
I had the broom upside down.
I'm blushing and I'm riding the broom the right way this time.

"On the count of three," Harry said to me. "One!"

I get ready, all excited.

"Two!"
