PHINEAS' POV
Isabella and I headed to the ferris wheel next. It was fun looking at the amazing view. Everything was going fine. I turned to face Isabella and she smiled.
"Howd'ya like it?" she asked.
"So far, so good." I replied.
I blushed lightly, and I turned away when I realized it.
I then pretended to look at the window again, but still looked at her face.
I observed her long hair as it rested on her right shoulder. She was now more beautiful than I ever remembered her to be.
I don't think "just friends" would suffice anymore...
I thought.
ISABELLA'S POV
While gazing out the window, I remembered everything I thought about Phineas as a kid. I wanted him to care for, to love me. Then, I gave up waiting for eight more years. It was just too frustrating to wait.
I looked at Phineas again, and this time I wasn't going to ask about the ride.
"Phineas, during those eight years of waiting for you to read the paper, I thought you'd never read the paper, that you already forgot about it. I thought you forgot me. I abandoned all hope of you ever returning my feelings for you."
Phineas then replied, "Isabella, I could forget everything else, but I'd never ever forget about you. Not in a month, not in eight years, not in a million years. Even if I lose everything, I promise you, I'll never forget you."
Tears fell down my eyes. Phineas hugged me after. I was wrong about him, I remember it now. He never gave up on anything. Whether it'd be searching for Perry, escaping an island before sunset, or saving summer. It's time I do the same thing for him.
PHINEAS' POV
When the ride ended, Isabella brought out a coin. "Give me the names of two rides we haven't tried yet." she said.
"The Haunted House, and the Tunnel o' Love." I replied.
Isabella then flipped the coin, and said that we'd go to the Haunted House if it would be heads, and the Tunnel o' Love if it lands on tails.
We watched it, and guess where it landed? Tails.
We went to the Tunnel. As we got in, I saw Isabella blushing. I blushed too. We were seated right next to each other. I took the chance to ask her a question I've been longing to ask her ever since I was 16.
"Isabella, I know both of us made a lot of mistakes. I apologize again. Now, I understand that it's only been a few weeks since I last asked you a question similar to this, but.."
"But what, Phineas?"
"Isabella, will you be my girlfriend?"
Her eyes grew bigger and she hugged me again. She then whispered,
"Yes."
