Chapter 41- We Find The Accused....

Lisa's P.O.V

Today was the day we were facing the court to decide what's going to happen to Calum. Luke, Michael, Ashton, Calum and some others who I'm not sure of had supposedly written statements and have had an interview with the police similar to mine. We were all dressed up like it was a funeral. The boys parents and siblings, apart from Luke and I's, had come to watch it all unfold. This unfortunately included everyone I trusted to look after the triplets. I didn't want them to witness this as much as I know they won't remember it when they are older. I must be getting so judged right now. (Double meaning ;) aha). We filed into the court room after waiting outside for about 15 mins before being called. I was wearing a black suit skirt and jacket with a white blouse underneath and black flats. I stood on one side of the court while Calum stood on the other. He looked...rough and generally sad. I mean, I didn't expect him to be jumping for joy (get it ;) aha) but he obviously has something he's hiding. Calum's family chose to sit on his side of the courtroom and explained to me they had to support their son even though they had no clue what had happened. They were total sweethearts and I had no problem with that. Everyone else's families were on my side.
To skip all of the boring stuff, basically the judge went through all of our statements and got each of the boys to stand up and answer some questions before the truth began to truly come out.
'Mr Hood, you have stated previously that you were under the influence of drugs. Please explain where this all came from?' The magistrate said.
'Your honour, I was out with some stage crew partying afternoon when a bunch of paparazzi turned up and started taking photos. During this time someone I later found out called Zachary Homewood had come and spiked my drink. I didn't however see this happen but two stage crew members I was with and the bartender noticed this. They also have in statements. They drugged me which led to me going crazy and apparently attempting to rape Miss Hemmings. I had no intentions of ever doing something like that to her in my normal state. She is like a sister to me. I would never have done that if I had control over my body and I just feel so bad. Now I have to live with it.' Calum spoke.
I was shocked to say the least.
'What about the hospital incident?' The judge asked.
'I found out what happened after going back to the bar and seeing the same bartender. He explained what he saw. I then asked the two stage crew members, the bartender said he thought would have seen also what happened, and they said the same thing. I went to the hospital after I found out to apologise and explain.'
After this all the witnesses and the boys came out and spoke their version of the story. It all added up. The paparazzi, the stories earning money, everything! I knew he normally wouldn't do anything like that. Apparently he was drugged again the time he tried again. The judge then came to a decision.
'We find the accused...not guilty. Case closed.' I sighed a breath of relief and turned to face Michael. I gave him a massive gig and he kissed me on the forehead.
'It's all over now, honey. I love you.'
He whispered.
'He was innocent the whole time and we never gave him the time of day to explain.' I whimpered, getting teary.
'You didn't know. You nearly got raped! More than once so I think your ok babe.' He kissed me on the lips. I gave Luke and Ashton a hug and Michael they each grabbed one of the triplets. I went to apologise to Calum.
'Hey, um Calum?' I tapped him on the shoulder. He turned around and gave me a small smile.
'I'm sorry for everything. For assuming things, taking you to court, hurting your career, crushing your friendships and not listening to you. I'm such a bad friend and I feel horrible about it.' I told him.
'It's ok, really. The truth came out loud and clear and I can understand entirely why you wouldn't want anything to do with me after that. Your not....scared of me are you?' He said.
'Of course not Calum! Hug it out?' I asked with a big smile with my eyebrows raised. He laughed and opened his arms wide and we shared a big hug.
'If the boys let you, your welcome back on the tour in 5SOS.' I said to him.
'Really?! Your touring again?!'
'We have so much to catch up on Calum.' I then explained the rest of the Loveless tour and the Change tour la de da and all the boring stuff.
'I'm just glad to have my best friend back.' He said to me.
'I can totally relate.' We laughed and walked over to the others. And for once- we were all happy.
