"Where did you disappear to?" Ushijima asked.
"I started studying. I saw you studying, and I thought you wanted someone smart."
"You are smart, Y/n. Very smart. A grade on a test doesn't determine that."
Y/n blushed.
"You think I'm smart?"
" I know you're smart. You're intelligent, Y/n."
Y/n snuggled closer to Ushijima. Y/n hoped he wouldn't pull away or flinch away. Ushijima pulled Y/n closer.
"Promise me you won't call yourself stupid."
Ushijima held out his left pinky. Y/n took it into his smaller pinky.
Y/n was expecting a kiss on the lips.
"I promise."
Ushijima gently pecked Y/n's nose.
