KATIE
I woke up in time for the sunrise again. Yesterday was pretty interesting, Travis and I almost had two moments but neither of them went anywhere and then I confronted Travis who was actually pretty nice but albeit weird. I cannot pinpoint this boy for the life of me, but as much as I hate to say it, the more time I spend with him the more time I want to spend with him. I grabbed a hoodie and walked to the strawberry fields for my daily sunrise.
Sitting in my spot was Travis and I laughed, "You took my spot."
He turned around and gave me his puppy dog smile, "You got your hoodie back from Miranda."
I did a dramatic spin and said, "Doesn't it look good."
"Everything looks good on you, Katie-Kat."
My face turned bright red at this and I laughed uneasily and sat down kinda far from him. He sighed and got up and sat so close to me his leg was touching mine. The touch of his body sent chills down my spine and butterflies in my stomach, but also felt so comforting and safe.
He said, "So how did you sleep?"
I sighed, "I don't really sleep well, I get really bad nightmares, it's why I'm always up for sunrise."
Travis turns and his eyes meet mine, "Me too, I usually sit on my roof though."
I want to say oh really but I already knew this, I've seen him there far too many times not to notice. I smile lightly, "Great minds, right."
We talked for a long time about random things that I liked and things he liked and what we both didn't like and it felt like the longest and shortest time. Finally I realized we're both head counselors and have to take care of our cabins. I stood up, "Um anyways bye."
Before he could say anything else I walked off, but I heard him softly say, "Bye Katie-Kat."
I walked into my cabin and Silena was standing there smiling evilly. I groaned, "Oh no Sile, what now."
Silena proudly showed me a two piece set, a corset style top with a beautiful intricate flower pattern and a matching skirt. I frowned, "Silena I'm not dressing up again, once was enough."
Silena pouted, "Please? For me?"
I groaned, "Fineeee."
Silena clapped and I quickly changed. Silena's jaw dropped when she saw me in it. She whistled, "Honestly Kat, I don't know when you got such a good body but I think you might have an even better body than Drew. Your boobs are bigger and you have a rounder butt. I can't believe you hid it for so long."
I turned red and stared at myself in the mirror, I don't see it. Silena walked over to the makeup, still untouched and said, "What about today?"
I shook my head and Silena pursed her lips and nodded. Silena's eyes then lit up and she sang, "I heard a rumor!"
I smirked and sang, "Oh really?"
Silena giggled and said, "Someone has a crush on, drum roll please...YOU!"
I turned pink and in my head thought please say Travis, please say Travis. Instead she said, "Jake Mason! From Charlie's cabin!"
I couldn't help but have my face fall and Silena mused, "What's wrong? Don't you dare say anything about Hephaestus boys."
I wanted to tell her that Jake's cute but he's not Travis and all I can think about is Travis but instead I say, "I don't know if I'm ready."
Silena hugged me and said, "That monster is gone now, babe. I hate to echo Miranda but you have to let it go. Jake's a good guy, he's like Charlie. Just go on one date, at the end of the week, for me, please? You never know if you never try."
