Falling in love with your best friend

Chapter 10

A week or so later, Tula's finally allowed home from hospital. She suffered a broken leg and she had spinal problems, which were corrected by surgery. She isn't allowed to do much and has to take at least 2 weeks off school, which she's more than happy about, despite the fact that she's supposed to be studying for her GCSE exams. Rich arrives at the hospital ready to take her home and the first place she wants to go is Dino's house.

Nurse: Make sure she rests please! She's under strict instructions not to do much!

Rich: She doesn't usually do what people tell her but I'll make sure she does get plenty of rest. She's only going to her cousin's house anyway so she'll be sat down.

Nurse: That's fine then. I just didn't want her to over do things.

Rich: She won't.

Tula: She is here, you know.

Rich: Of course you are. Come on then trouble.

Nurse: Take care both of you.

Rich: We will do, thank you.

Tula: Thanks for everything.

Nurse: Hey, it's our job.

Tula: I know that, but thank you.

Nurse: It's a pleasure.

Rich: I bet you'll be glad to get home, eh?

Tula: Yeah, just a bit.

Rich: We can stay another week if you like?

Tula: No, I'm fine.

Rich: I thought you'd say that.

Tula: Can we just get out of here chatterbox?

Rich: Come on then!

They left the hospital and he helped her get in the car, while her mum was waiting. He fastened her seatbelt for her. They drove to Dino's. It would have took about half an hour, because of the traffic, but Tula wanted McDonlads.

Anne: How you feeling Tula love?

 Tula: Fine, just glad to be out of that smelly hospital.

Anne: We're glad to have you out of it.

They stopped at a McDonalds on the way because Tula was hungry. She got a cheeseburger, fries, ketchup and a chocolate milkshake.

Tula: Ah maccies!

Rich: Greedy girl!

Tula: What? I don't care!

Rich: It's good to know you aint changed!

Tula: Me? Change? Get lost!

They eventually drive to Dino's house, which takes a further 20 minutes because Tula wanted some food. 

Tula: Dino!

Dino: Oh bloody hell, here comes gobby!

Tula: OI!

Dino: I'm joking!

Tula: You better be!

Dino: I am! I'm just glad you're ok!

Tula: Yeah, I'm fine. I've got a broken leg and I had spinal problems but they sorted that out.

Dino: Good!

Rich: Do you guys want some food?

Tula: Yeah.

Dino: That was a silly question for her, man!

Rich: True!

Tula: OI. I am here.

Dino: Rich, I'll help you get some food mate. T what do you want?

Tula: Whatever you've got in, I'm fine with.

Rich: We'll make you a cheese and ham toasty then.

Tula: Cool.

The boys go in the kitchen and Dino has something to say to Rich. Rich starts making the toastys and Dino tells him, what he needs to say to him.

Dino: Rich?

Rich: Sup mate?

Dino: Thanks for looking after us both.

Rich: It's cool man. You two are my family.

Dino: It means a lot. I can see how much you obviously care about T as well.

Rich: I love her mate. She means the world to me. 

Dino: Good.

They made 3 cheese and ham toastys and sat in the living room eating them and watching TV. They were just glad they were all togeher again. 

Dino: T, will you be alright to go out after or not?

Tula: Can't we just stay here? I don't feel too good and the doctors said I'm not allowed to do much.

Rich: Why what's wrong?

Tula: Oh, I've just got headache that's all.

Rich: Do you want some tablets for it?

Tula: Yeah please.

Rich: Wait here, I'll go find you some.

Dino: There's some in the kitchen cupboard at the front.

Rich: OK mate.

He looked in the cupboard at the front and found some headache tablets. He got 2 of them and a glass of water and took them back to her. 

Rich: Here you go T.

Tula: Thanks Rich.

Rich: It's OK.

Dino: So you guys are gonna stay here for the afternoon then yeah?

Rich: Yeah if that's alright mate?

Dino: Yeah course it is. It'll give me someone to chill with.

Rich: true.

They sat for the afternoon watching any old rubbish that was on TV. It got to about 5:30pm and Tula said she was tired and could Rich take her home.

Rich: Come on then T.

Tula: See you Daps.

Dino: See you T. Rich, are you coming back or are you gonna stay with her?

Rich: No, I'm gonna stay with her.

Dino: OK, That's fine.

He got her crutches for her and started taking her back to her house. He went back to his to get some overnight things, once he'd got Tula home and then went back to her. He got some clean clothes, his chocolate lynx because he knows Tula likes it, his toothbrush and his phone charger,

Rich: I'm back babe.

Tula: I can see that.

Rich: I'm just gonna put these on your chair, is that alright?

Tula: Yeah course.

Rich: You managed to get yourself changed then?

Tula: Yeah.

Rich: Do you wanna lay in bed and watch movies?

Tula: If you like.

Rich: Well, you could sound a bit more enthusiastic.

Tula: I want a bit more than that, but erm...

Rich: You'll have to wait, won't you gorgeous?

Tula: I suppose.

They watched DVD's all night until about 11pm. Rich looked down and Tula was asleep. He reached across for the DVD remote and turned it off. He turned the TV off, turned the lamp off, settled down in bed and pulled the covers over both of them and he settled down to go to sleep.
