Chapter 13

Your POV
It was Sunday and it was the day of the third task. Me and Cedric were in the common room. I was giving him a pep-talk. "You got this Cedric you are an amazing wizard." I said in a hopeful tone. "Not as good as you." He said still nervous. "I said wizard, not witch." I said trying to crack a joke to help him relax. He laughed. "Thanks, I needed that." He said as he hugged me. "Be careful Cedric." I said scared for him. He was my best friend and he was going in a super dangerous tournament. "Let's go down to that third task." He said while smiling. I nodded and we walked down to the task.

I found a spot next to Neville. Luna, Susan, Hermione, and Ron were also there. I was scared. Apparently Neville could tell and he grabbed my hand. "Are you nervous?" He asked me concerned. "Yeah, I'm just scared because Harry and Cedric are two of my best friends and I don't want them to get hurt." I answered relieved to tell someone. He pulled me closer. Hugged me and kissed my forehead. "I'm scared too. But I'm a little less scared now because I'm with you, love." He said "Thank you Neville." I said. "For what?" He asked confused on how he helped. "For making me feel better. Most boys would just be jealous because my best friend is a boy. So I'm happy I have a boyfriend like you." I answered. He kissed me. Then the third task started.

At the end of the third task

Harry just appeared with the tri-wizard-cup in his arms and Cedric was laying there. Harry started crying. I could see Cedric wasn't moving I ran down scared to se what happened. Neville and Cho Chang followed me. I saw Cedric's lifeless body laying there. I felt tears welling in my eyes. I asked Harry "I-is h-he d-de-dead?" Trying to not burst into tears. Harry nodded. I fell to the ground and started balling my eyes out. Neville picked me up off the ground and pulled me into a hug. I cried into his chest. Then I heard Cho crying next to me and Cedric's dad yelling "That's my son! That's my boy!" While he was crying. I let go of the hug with Neville and hugged Cho she hugged me back she was still crying but a little bit softer now. Then Cedric's dad came over to us both and joined the hug we were all crying we all let go of the hug. Neville grabbed my hand gently.

I knelt down to his body. I couldn't take looking at his body anymore. I sobbed over his body. Then I heard a soft "Y/N." It was Neville. Cedric's body was glowing as more of my tears fell onto his body. His wounds were healed he started breathing again he opened his eyes. I looked at him and he saw me crying. "What's wrong, Y/N." He asked confused. I hugged him. "Oh my god, no, no this is not possible you are ,or were ,I guess. You w-were dead!" I said still unable to believe it.Everyone looked at me confused on how this boy who was dead 5 minutes ago is now alive. "I'm not dead." He said and got up. Neville picked me up off the ground again. I stopped crying but I was still confused. "What just happened?" I asked. "You tell me, what just happened?" He said. "You are just as confused as I am." I told him. I pinched myself. "Why did you do that?" He asked confused on why I pinched myself. "To make sure I'm not imagining this." I answered. Cho came up behind me "H-how d-did you do that?" She asked me. "I-I don't know. I honestly I didn't know I could do that." I answered. Then, she hugged me smiling and whispered "Thank you. You saved my boyfriend." I hugged her back. She let go and walked over to Cedric. Who then hugged and kissed her. Neville hugged me one more time before we both walked back to the castle.
