"This is what is best for both worlds, a way for her to find herself again. Trust me," Tony quiets down as he and the soldier walk up to me. Tony hands me a backpack before clasping his hand on my back, locking me into a forced hold. He pushes me into the elevator without the soldier or a word. Before the elevator doors close, the soldier sends me a sad smile.
I started to get nervous now, it seems like Tony is sending me away. Why? As if he heard me he responds with a sigh, "(Y/n) I want you to be around someone new, so you can get a new sense of personality. I want you to learn how to have fun again."
"Why can't I do it with the soldier?" I ask. "At the tower?"
"His name is Bucky, we have gone through this multiple times now. The reason you can't be here is for two reasons. One, Bucky and you are both from Hydra. So in case you have any memories of it, I don't want you to transform back into the soldier. We already had to deal with Barnes a few nights, anyway. The second reason is because of the people in the tower, we have to have a few meetings without you here. Don't wanna hurt your feelings."
"Where am I going?"
The elevator doors open and Tony continues to push me to where he wants me to go. Once we make it outside through the lobby, we stop at a parked car. A male was standing with the back door open, a nice looking suit on his body. He sends me a small nod before grabbing the backpack out of my hands.
"Thanks, Happy," Tony says to the male.
His name is Happy? He doesn't look all that happy. I wonder if it is because he has to drive me. Wow, I feel horrible now. He must be the nicest person in the world if his name is happy, and here we are and I made him not happy. Good one (y/n).
Tony shoves me in the back of the car without another word exchanged or even a goodbye or even a hug! Happy closes the door and quickly gets in the front seat. As he pulls away from the curb I look in the back window, Tony was watching the car as we drove off. He sends the car a small wave before turning to go back inside.
Happys' Pov
The car ride was silent, which I did not mind at all. Our relationship is never going to be the same now that she has changed. I understand it isn't her fault, but I don't want to go through the trouble of meeting her again. The only person I liked was (y/n) the chef of the Avengers, not a superhero like the rest of them.
Once we pull up to the destined location I tell her to wait in the car. I don't want to just leave her here and not have anyone be home. Being the nice person I am, I will get the people myself. Shaking my head I walk up multiple flights of stairs, instantly regretting my decision to be nice for once. Getting to the front door was a victory, that was until I forgot who I was leaving (y/n) with. Letting out another long sigh, I knock on the door.
Within seconds the door swings open, "Happy! Did you get my texts-"
"All 304 of them," I respond.
"My friend Ned is here too! We are super excited to have (Y/n) live with us for a while. I can't wait to-"
"Is your aunt here?"
"No, she trusted us to give (y/n) a good welcome home."
"Do you know how important this is for Tony?"
"Yes, I know what I signed up for. Plus he said if anything happens to her, the winter soldier will kill me himself. So I really don't want to go through that."
"Good, now let's get her so I can leave."
The two teenage boys follow me all the way back down to the car. Their annoying feet stomped down each step. Seeing the car was a godsend, I can finally leave Parker. (Y/n) gets out of the car with curious eyes as she looks around her. I grab her backpack and pass it to her before I leave without another word. The best thing to do is get in and get out when you are near Peter Parker.
(Y/n) Pov
I get out of the car once I see Happy, taking in the new city. My eyes land on two boys, both of them looking at me with amazed faces. The brown-haired boys' eyes lingered on my face rather than my arms, which the other boy was staring at. Happy was gone within seconds, what nobody noticed. One second he was here and the next he was gone, how rude of him.
"Hi," I start. "I am (y/n)."
"You are literally the coolest person, I am Ned by the way." the shorter male greets me. "This is Peter, the guy you are going to be living with."
I go in to shake Ned's hand but quickly pull away. I don't know what will happen. Last time I touched another person I hurt them. Plus I don't want to make him uncomfortable.
"it's okay," Peter whispers. "You won't hurt him."
I look over at him, his eyes now trained on my outstretched hand. Nervously I shake Ned's hand, waiting for something bad to happen. But nothing does. Letting out a sigh of relief I move over to Peter, "I don't know exactly why I am here."
"Well all Tony said is to give you a good start to live life again, so he said that you come to school with us!" Peter smiles at me.
"I'm too old for school though."
"You don't look old, trust me. You will be fine and you will have fun. It is a way for you to be welcomed back into society and learn things that you may have forgotten because of those sick doctors that took away your memory."
"What about these."
"Your arms are apart of you (Y/n), you can't change that. You are going to proudly show them off. Tony notified the school that you are going to be enrolled there now."
"I was a soldier, a killing machine that used to be locked in a cell. But I'm now going to be a student? How funny is that."
"Come on, let us get inside so we can talk more in private."
