♡Chapter 19♡ Sudden Heat

(Huehue I'm back!!! For now... I'm finally on Winter Break!!!)

"Sorry.... What?" Ino stared at Tsunade confused, which she sighed.

"You. And Sakura... Will be heading to the desert and safely transport a family." Tsunade said.

"Great....now its hot weather..." Sakura thought to herself.

"I was thinking about sending team 7 but you two clearly have a much stronger bond and that means you two can work together without a problem..." Tsunade said. Sakura and Ino nodded.

"Oh by the way, Shizune has your backpack travel things ready, it even comes with your summer outfit... even though it's winter..." Tsunade said. Sakura and Ino left the room.

"Transport a family eh...? Interesting mission." Ino said.

"Think it'll be easy?" Sakura asked. Ino shrugged.

"Whatever. Let's get going!" Ino yelled as she ran.

"Wait up!!!" Sakura yelled after trying to catch up to Ino.

They had finally reached to the desert flat grounds. It was bloody hot that the girls immediately put on their summer clothes.

"Sakura... its so damn hot..." Ino complained.

"I wanna be home!! Where its all cold!" Ino yelled. Sakura sighed.

"Ino keep your chin up... if we get attacked and we are far to distracted, we will end up getting killed." Sakura panted.

"Yeah yeah... now where is that darn family..." Ino asked. Sakura looked around. No one was in sight.

"I don't know... let's hurry before we get cooked." Sakura picked up her pace. Ino groaned.

"Waitttt...." Ino ran.

"Sakura!!! We have been walking for hours and not a single person showed up!! We are in the middle of nowhere!!" Ino yelled.

"I know!! Would you just- shut up for a moment!!" Sakura yelled. They were hot and tired so they were cranky.

"S-Sakura..." Ino slowed down. There was a  rock, creating a small shade near by her. She walked up to it and fell on her back on the shade. She panted loudly.

"I-Ino?" Sakura turned around. She saw Ino was exhausted.

"Sakura... I can't bear this damn heat..." Ino mumbled as she covered her eyes with her arm. Sakura walked up to her.

"Ino... I know. This heat is unbearable but we have a mission. We have to push ourselves." Sakura pulled Ino back on her feet.

"So dehydrating yourself is okay?" Ino said. Sakura stared at Ino.

"That's not what I mean..." Sakura sighed. Ino squinted her eyes. She saw something moving.

"Hey Sakura...?" Ino pointed. Sakura turned around to see a group people walking towards them.

"Are you the leaf ninjas...?" The man asked. Sakura nodded.

"Are you the family we are protecting?" Sakura gave them a smile. They nodded.

"I'm Sakura. This is Ino." Sakura smiled. Ino gave them a wave with a faint smile.

"You look like you guys could use some water... would you like some?" The lady held out two water bottles. Ino nodded intensely and took the bottle and chugged it.

"J-Jesus... ahem. Thank you. Yes please." Sakura said before taking the bottle.

"Alright. Let's get going." The man said. The family continued to walk. The mother was carrying a toddler. The father carried the heavy stuff. And there was this boy. He was probably 7.

"So where are you guys heading?" Sakura asked.

"Home. We just finished traveling." The mother answered with a smile.

"Oh fun!" Sakura smiled. Ino stared at the boy.

"What is your name...?" Ino asked. The boy glared at Ino.

"The fuck?" Ino thought.

"Ermm... My name is Ino..." Ino tried not to lose her shit.

"My name is not your business." The boy stuck out his tongue. Ino wanted to strangle the boy.

"Polar be nice!" The mother scorned.

"Polar...? I can see why. The boy has white hair with blue eyes." Ino thought to herself. Polar pouted. Ino sighed. They were in the alley of the canyons. Sakura and Ino noticed some shady people on the top of the canyon. Sakura looked at Ino and they both nodded.

"Lets get moving. We are being watched." Sakura told the family quietly. They picked up the pace. From walking, to running.

"I would freeze right now."

The group were stopped by a tall female in front of them. She had an armor on and held out her sword. She has short white hair. With onyx eyes.

"Give us the child and we will give you anything... money.... weapons... slaves... anything." The kunoichi said.

"Tch. In your damn dreams. This is our child and you had to steal her away from us!" The mother said holding the young child closely. The child was a female red head.

"We would have given the child anything! She would have been the queen!" The kunoichi said.

"You would use her as a weapon... leave us alone." The mother said. The kunoichi frowned. She Started to walk towards the family. Sakura and Ino ran in front of them protecting them. Then Polar shot an arrow at the kunoichi. She immediately deflected it back and it hit Ino in the shoulder.

"GAH!" Ino yelled.

"I-Ino?!" Sakura stared at Ino.

"I'm okay. Worry about the family..." Ino winced as she pointed the kunai at the girl.

"Fufufu... so sweet. You can't go anywhere. If you run away... my fellow archers will get you. They don't miss a shot." The kunoichi smirked. She then suddenly dashed toward the family.

"MIND TRANSFER JUTSU!!" Ino yelled. Then her body fell to the ground. The kunoichi froze. She then smirked.

"Mind transfer jutsu? Interesting... so this girl is from the Yamanaka clan? Tch... its a shame that she can barely control me." The kunoichi slightly struggled to move.

"W-What?" Sakura stuttered.

"Now... let's see.... If... you harm me... then the girl will get hurt as well..." The kunoichi smirked.

"Give me the damn girl or I'll stab myself. Killing the Yamanaka girl." The kunoichi said. Sakura stared at the kunoichi with fear.

"Ino get out of there!!!" Sakura yelled.
The family stared at the girl with a concern look.

"Release Ino..." The mother begged.

"Fine. If you won't give me what I want... then" The kunoichi pulled out a dagger and stabbed her own arm. Sakura's eyes widen.

"Huehue!! I can hear her scream in my mind!!" The kunoichi giggled. Sakura then threw a smoke bomb on the ground.

"What the he-"

The Kunoichi dashed into the smoke. Noticing that the family was gone. However Sakura and Ino were still here.

"SHANNARO!!" Sakura punched the ground, causing a rock avalanche and making the archers fall or flee. The kunoichi fell to her knees while the earth shook below her. She gritted her teeth.

"Your going to pay for this pinky!" The kunoichi yelled. She then stabbed her chest then did the release jutsu. Ino returned to her body. She cried in pain as her body bled. Sakura picked up Ino and fled.
