"What? Irina. . . I just need to talk to her before she goes to them." Bella said.

"It's too late, Bella." Jacob said.

"Bella, relax, we've got everything under control." I said.

"Under control?" Bella asked.

"Yes, we do. We just need to make a solid case and they'll leave, right? Or else we just fight them." I answered.

"Althea, that's not helping." Charlie said.

"Look everyone, nothing will happen to Bella or the baby or any of us, okay." I said.

"I say we kill Irina." Leah said.

I rolled my eyes.

"What am I going to do with you, Leah?" I asked.

"Love me." She answered with a smile.

I shook my head.

"Focus." Sam said.

"I say it's time the pack start training." Paul said.

"Training is good." I said.

"If they really do come here then we need to figure out a way to protect everyone." Jacob said.

"Althea, it's time to call for back up." Janiva said.

"Do you really think they'll come?" I asked.

"Of course." Janiva answered.

"Who are you going to call?" Sam asked.

"The tribe of female skin walkers." I answered.

"Would they help us?" Jacob asked.

"We need them." Janiva replied.

"I'm excited to meet them." Leah said.

"She's still growing quickly," Lape murmured to Bella.

Bella squeezed his hand, and his other arm wrapped securely around her waist, almost as if he knew that Bella needed the support.

Bella couldn't take her eyes off Renesmee. She looked perfect, absolutely healthy.

Her skin glowed like backlit alabaster; the color in her cheeks was rose petals against it.

The difference between the child Bella'd given birth to and the one Bella'd met again an hour ago would have been obvious to anyone.

The difference between Renesmee an hour ago and Renesmee now was subtler.
