"You should stop doing that!" Yade scolded, looking a little angry, yet also concerned.

"I'm sorry okay? I want to know why I can't read your mind like the others and it just- Argh, please, aspirin." I held one hand out as the other was still pressed to my temple.

"Wait, what exactly were you doing?" Calum asked, as I had sat down on a stool and waited for someone to hand me a glass of water and an aspirin.

"I tried to read Yade's mind. But I can't because there's a wall." I explained, holding my hand out for a glass of water as Calum had given me an aspirin. I downed it with some water and groaned. "The thing is, if I try to get through that wall, I get a horrible headache." I finished, laying my head down on the cold stone of the cooking isle, mumbling, "This feels so good."

"So, you've done it before?"

"Several times." Yade answered for me. I couldn't deny it, as I had tried it once the other day Calum was around, though they didn't know, and twice the day after that when Michael was around, even after he had told me not to. Then almost again when Ashton was here yesterday, but I was getting crazy of the headaches, so I didn't. But then today I just had too, because I had had the feeling I was close to getting through it.

"If it gives you such a headache, why do you do it?"

"Because," I said, lifting my head to look at him, "I think I might be close to breaking through." That caused a silence for a moment, as Yade looked at me with raised eyebrows.

"This is all still weird to me. I mean, I get you progressed a lot since I last came here, but that doesn't mean you should give yourself headaches with trying to do something you can't." Calum told me worryingly.

"I know." I told him, letting out a sigh. The past few days, about three if I say that correctly, I had been training like crazy, despite the headaches I caused myself. And it worked, luckily. I had become way better at the Illusions, being able to do a lot with it, but only if I had my eyes closed and was concentrated. The only downside, but good enough for me.

My Mind Control had been working creepily good, which made me consider going to the boys' house and try it out on Luke, but first I just had to crack that wall Yade seemed to have. If I could do that, I would consider myself good enough to go and try my Mind Control on Luke to try and get his memories back.

"So you think you are close to breaking through this wall?" Yade asked me.

"Isn't that what I just said?" She rolled her eyes at me. "Duh, but I wanted to be sure. It never hurt anyone to be sure, did it?" I didn't answer, but just laid my head on the cold stone of the cooking isle again.

"If your head feels better you can try again if you think it'll help, yeah?" I tried to nod, but that didn't exactly work with my head practically sticking to the isle.

"Was that a nod?" Calum asked.

"Yeah." I said, focussing on the nice cold feeling that was starting to lessen.

It took me a minute or two to lift my head up again, but the cold from the cooking isle had worked a bit and my headache wasn't as bad as it had been.

"I think I'm good." I told them, as they had been staring off in the distance, leaning against something.

"Ah, okay." Yade smiled slightly and Calum seemed to snap out of his thoughts. "Eh, are we going upstairs or are you going to try it here?"
