For a brief moment life did a 180, I didn't even mind the ocean air, in fact I liked the burn of salty air, it reminded me I'm alive.
"TAEHYUNG-AH!" Jimin shouts, after helping a limping Hoseok onto a nearby pool chair, his high-pitched voice cracking
"JIMIN-AH!" Taehyung yelled back with the same level of enthusiasm.
Jimin practically flying towards our hug, joining in from the side, mainly hugging Taehyung.
The chaos dies down, I broke away from Jimin and Taehyung, jogging up to Hannah and Lynne.
"Shit, shouldn't we get you to a medic?" I nearly yell, fully taking notice of Lynnes leg, the lack of it fuctioning particularly.
She shrugs, eventhough it looks as if she were in immense pain "Worse come to worse I'll just make a really good Hiccup cosplayer,"
"No, don't say that. Your leg will be fine," Hannah protests, the two of them squabbling.
"What'll happen to Atlas?" I broke their argument, everyone diverting their attention towards Atlas.
"No clue."
"He's still our Atlas ...he just has a very extreme parent," Hannah tries laughing it off.
"Had." Lynne corrected.
...I mean, she's still breathing, I saw her chest rise and fall a little but without immediete medical attention, I wonder how that will unfold.
Namjoon pops up out of nowhere, wiggling his way into our small huddle "until we speak with our publicists would it be alright if you don't let out what happened today?"
His eyes continualy flickering towards Taehyung, right, an almost murder can't be good for the whole 'celebrity image'
We all silently nod as everyone else slowly migrates towards our little huddle.
My eyes couldn't help but linger onto Taehyungs form as we began returning to our rooms, his eyes weren't the same, they look haunted. Every now and then he'd glance at his hands in disgust, immense guilt weighing down his shoulders as he did.
"Psst, Namjoon," I whisper, scampering to his side, he answers with an attentive hum.
"Taehyung seems a little down,"
His eyes flicker up to his younger friend before nodding "Taehyung comes from a very loving family, the whole situation Atlas is in is foreign to him. He must feel guilty about what he did to Atlas' mother,"
"But ...she's the same woman who hurt Jin and him and caused this whole ruckus,"
Namjoon could only shrug "I guess it depends on perspective,"
He's too pure for this world. Maybe I'm a crappy person, who knows? But I doubt I'd be feeling as much remosre as he is if I were in his shoes. She tried to kill him, more than once, and he still has it in him to feel guilt about harming her for the sake of survival.
The medics say she only had a concussion, she isn't even dead.
"Maybe...," Namjoon trails off, hesistance splaying across his face.
"I'm listening," I encourage.
"He seems at ease around you. To be honest I feel a little bad for him, he always listens to us if we have a problem and hugs us so we feel better but lately he's been more reclusive," a small pained smile dances along his lips "...nevermind, I wouldn't want to burden you and the whole language barrier must make it tough,"
"I don't care," I bit down on my tongue realising how rude that must've sounded "Sorry, I meant to say the language barrier isn't an issue for me, it's not even that bad. Plus his body language and emotions are more expressive than words. Oh and, to me he's never a burden, none of you are,"
