Sup. I'm Dean, and I'm 17. I go to a high school in San Francisco, where I'm the captain of the swim team. I'm pretty popular, and I'm pretty hot too, so I can basically get any girl I want. Except for one.
There is this one girl, who refuses to go out with me, no matter how many times I ask. And of course, she's the hottest of all the girls. She's so smart too! Straight A's in every class, she says she wants to major in architecture or something when she gets into college.
I sigh thinking about her, as I walk to school. What's her name again? Annabeth right? In any case, she apparently has a mysterious boyfriend, who no one has ever seen, and conveniently lives on the other side of the country.
"Hey Dean!"
I look up. Oh. It's Olivia again. If you didn't know, Olivia is this really annoying girl, who has a massive crush on me. She's beautiful as well, but no where near Annabeth levels. She's been bugging me to take her to prom for a whole month, and prom is only a few weeks away!
Anyways, if you hadn't figured it out by now, Annabeth is stunning. She completely blows all the other girls out of the water. With her gray eyes, and her blonde hair, and her glare that could mentally rip you to pieces, she was downright beautiful. Man, I remember, on her first day, Carl, the most popular kid in the school ditched his girlfriend Selena just to ask out Annabeth. Poor technique honestly. He should have asked before he broke up with her, so he'd still get a girlfriend if he got rejected. Anyways, he got rejected. And so did every single person who has asked her out yet, always mentioning her mysterious boyfriend. I don't buy it. I think she's just playing hard to get for me, and I just have to keep up.
"Hey Olivia, what now?
"I'm just saying that I'm not taken for prom, yet."
"No Olivia, I'm not going to ask you out to prom."
"Oh please. Why not?
"Same reason I gave you for the last month. I've already set my sights on a girl that I want, and that girl isn't you."
"Come ON." she complained. "It's not like Annabeth will ever go out with you. She's rejected everybody so far. You may as well just go for a girl who's realistically going to go out with you, like me."
"I'm different. I'm more persistent than the others. I think she likes me. I make her laugh sometimes."
"So does the janitor. You're never gonna snag her."
I shrugged my shoulders. "No harm in trying right?"
She rolled her eyes. "You're hopeless. Well, I'm gonna go with my friends now." She kissed me on the cheek and jogged away. I wiped off the kiss mark with my sleeve. Walking into my class, I saw Annabeth and this other girl talking. Annabeth was smart when picking her friend group. Instead of hanging out with the popular kids, where she'd get pestered by people asking her out on dates, she hangs out with mostly girls who are ten times less beautiful as she is, and nobodies, so she wouldn't get asked out by the girls, (probably), and the boys there wouldn't dare ask her out, because she was way out of their league and they were lucky she even talked to them.
I strolled over to Annabeth, who was talking to the girl again. "Hey Annabeth? Do you got any hobbies? One of mine is photography because I can picture us together."
Annabeth snorted. "That was horrible, no. How many times have I told you that I have a boyfriend, Dean."
"Yeah, sure." I rolled my eyes. "Your imaginary boyfriend who comes from Manhattan. Right..."
Annabeth blushed. "It's the truth!"
"Yeah, ok. Anyways, prom is coming up pretty soon, and I know that you're not going there with anyone..."
