L A I L A  differed from the majority of student's in Las Encinas because when they wore Rolex watches or Gucci skirts, the girl could barely afford a hand down skirt. Poverty did not affect the girl, however, no matter how many times the richest kids reminded her that she'd never be like them.

Smart and yet lonely, the girl rowed through life, counting days until graduation when she'd be finally free of the people who made her life hell - especially a certain Latina and a blond.

Three new students, all with their own backstory would soon show Laila that riches did not bring happiness. On the contrary, how fucked up the rich kid were - especially a certain blond, who'd soon ruin her life and yet Laila wouldn't escape the fire he created.

With Growing Pains, they all would soon realize that life was not just how they would have liked it to be.
