(making up for the angst by writing fluff

they're kids btw)

kazuichi bounced in his car seat as his parents drove him to the park.

the second they arrived, tatsuo picked kazuichi up and placed him down by the play ground. kazuichi ran to the swings and climbed on one. as he was swinging, someone walked infront of him, not paying attention to where they were walking. this caused kazuichi to knock the kid over.

"AH!" the kid yelled as he fell. kazuichi quickly got off the swings and ran to the kid.

"o-oh! sorry! i didn't s-see you! are you ok?" he asked, helping the other kid stand

"y-yes i'm fine. thank you for your concern." the kid smiled

"my name is kazuichi souda! and yours is?"

"n-nagito komaeda. pleasure to meet you." he smiled

kazuichi smiled back and hugged nagito.

the two continued to walk around the play ground, nagito occasionally rubbing where he was hit by the swing. eventually they found a see-saw and they each got on one side.

the two just went up and down with no talk in between. the silence however was welcomed. they were both smiling

"so....where are your parents?" kazuichi asked nagito

"o-oh uhm...i walked here. it doesn't really pay attention to me. and mother hasn't shown up in a while." nagito explained, his smile fading.

"...huh?" kazuichi cocked his head to the side

"a-ah. i mean my father doesn't pay much attention to me, and my mothers not around anymore. i don't like calling him my father..." he started to choke up softly. kazuichi gasped and got off of the see-saw

"s-sorry! it's ok! hey look! you're  ok!" he ran to hug nagito.

nagito started to cry into kazuichis shirt

kazuichi rubbed nagitos back and hugged him tightly.

"it's ok, nagito. it's ok." he reassured nagito.

nagito nodded and pulled away from kaz.

"thank you, kazuichi." he smiled. kazuichi nodded and grabbed nagitos hand.

"h-here! let's go to-"

"kazuichi! we have to go home now." his mom called

"o-oh...sorry nagito. i have to go now." kaz frowned

"it's alright...i'll see you later, kazuichi." he smiled. kaz smiled back and waved bye to nagito as he ran to his mom.
