The fire crackled merrily as Merlin threw a few more logs onto it, who then sat back down with the nights and Arthur who were talking happily around the fire keeping warm. The whole atmosphere was jolly. Their mission had been a success and Arthur had managed to form an alliance with another land with no real difficulties. They had stopped to make camp and all of them where in a good mood telling silly stories. Suddenly Gwaine pulled two large bottles from under his shirt and proceeded to drink one.

"where did you get that from?!" Leon looked astonished

"Well, my dear friend it seems the kingdom we have just formed an alliance with don't guard their food and wine stores very well." He declares looking almost proud.

"You stole from them!?" Gwaine wiggled his eyebrows cheekily and took another swing from the bottle. He then passed it round. Everyone took at least a gulp except for Merlin who politely declined. Half an hour later an amused Merlin was watching how a slightly wobbly Arthur danced around the fire. He tripped and would have tumbled into the fire if Merlin had not caught him using his magic. Arthur looked up shocked then saw Merlin and understood, smiling he muttered a thanks.

"Wow that is the first time I've heard you say that in my whole life!" Gwaine exclaimed.

"Shut up."

"Ok, ok. Hey, I know lets play a game. It's called Truth or Dare, I play it with my friends in the tavern sometimes." The nights groaned but agreed to play.

"I'll go first then we'll go round the fire so Percival will be next." Everyone nodded and waited for what he would say.

"Umm. Ok. Arthur truth or dare?"

"Dare."

"I dare you to jump over the fire." He did it easily enough and Lancelot said

"That was too easy Gwaine, you should have done a harder challenge."

"Alright, that was just to warm him up for what's going to come. " Lancelot smiled as Arthur chuckled while he watched his friends. Percival looked at Leon and smiled as an idea came to him.

"Leon truth or dare?"

"Umm... dare?"

"I dare you to wear a flower crown for the rest of the night."

"What flower crown?" Asked Leon looking around confused. Percival looked at Merlin silently asking. The young warlock smiled and muttered some words as some flowers appeared and started weaving themselves intricately in each ither. When it was done Merlin floated it over to Leon and dropped it on his head. Everyone laughed and a slight tint of pink appeared on Leon's face. Lancelot spoke next.

"Merlin, truth or dare?" Merlin looked at the knight's eager faces nervously.

"Truth."

Lancelot takes his time thinking about then says

"Tell us your biggest secret. Not about your magic because we already know about that, your second biggest secret." Merlin shuffles nervously and looks at his hands.

"My father was Balinor, he was a dragon lord." Arthur looked almost horrified at Merlin.

"I'm so sorry I didn't realize he was your father." He gave him a quick awkward hug then Merlin explained what had happened.

"Wait, does that mean there are no dragon lords left now?" Lancelot interrupted.

"Well..." He looked at Arthur trying to figure out what he would do. "It gets passed down from father to son and so really I'm the last dragon lord now." Arthur looked at him baffled while Gwaine exclaimed

"You can talk to dragons? No way, so cool!"

The knights where still starring at him shocked when Arthur spoke

"Truth or dare, Merlin?" Merlin, grateful for the change of topic answered.

"Dare"

"Call this dragon you speak of. I want to meet him." Merlin sat open mouthed for a second before getting up.

"Ok, if you think you can handle it."

Everyone followed the young warlock as he led them out to a small clearing to the left of where they set up camp. To his friend's amazement, he yelled out into the night in a language they could not understand and in an incredibly deep voice. They all sat in a weird silence for a minuet until finally there came a steady beating of wings from the distance. The great dragon landed heavily, then spoke.

"Hello young warlock, I see Arthur has finally found out about your magic. Is that why you have summoned me?"

"No, he's known about my magic for some time now. He just wanted to meet you." The Dragon half bowed in Arthur direction before turning back to Merlin again. "I've been meaning to ask you; does this mean I have completed my prophecy? Arthur knowing and everything?"

"Not yet but it is well on track now. There will still be obstacles in the way, but everything will start falling into place soon." With that he took off leaving the open-mouthed knights to stare into the dark.

"That was so awesome!" Gwaine exclaimed beaming. "Have you ever ridden on his back?" Merlin nodded and turned around to make his way back to the fire.

"My go! Percival , truth or dare?" Merlin said, completely unshaken by the massive dragon that had spoken to him a few moments ago.

"Dare"

"I dare you to let Gwaine sit on your lap for the rest of the game." Percival looked nervously at Gwaine who started blushing slightly. He opened his mouth as if to protest but stopped as Gwaine stood up and sat back down heavily on Percival. Everyone chuckled as Percival recovered from being taken by surprise then the game resumed.

"Truth or dare?" Leon looked around "Arthur." The king groaned

"Why me again? Dare."

"I dare you to...."

"Jump in the lake!" Gwaine yelled from Percival's lap.

"Yeah that."

Arthur got up grumpily with everyone following. They walked for five minutes to the lake not far from the place they had made camp. It was mostly dark, and the cold was beginning to settle in. When they got to the lake Arthur stood at the edge hesitantly.

"Stop being such a girl Arthur." At this comment Arthur spun around and grabbed Merlin tugging him towards him making them both fall into the river. The knights roared with laughter at this.

Arthur and Merlin sat shivering next to the fire sharing a blanket both quite grumpy. They both refused to take there wet clothes off so where just soaking the blanket. When Leon pointed this out both boys grunted out a reply that no one could here and so they where left alone.

"That ended well." Lancelot said. The knights settled down for the night soon after and Arthur fell asleep practically hugging Merlin claiming it was for warmth when the knights teased him about it in the morning.
