The buss ride was only a few minutes long but a lot happened in that short time.

"Hey, Merls." Merlin turned to look at him, slightly shocked by the new nick name.

"Hmm?" He carried on looking out the window thinking Arthur was going to ask something about how to bus worked; this was only the second time he had left the house with Merlin.

"Why does the internet think we were together?" At this Merlin chocked on thin air and turned again to look at Arthur.

"Ummmm... What? I told you not to look too much into the internet you dollop head!"

Arthur grinned at the familiar insult. "Yeah, well you took wayyy too locg in the shower and I was getting so bored."

Merlin rolled his eyes, "And what did you find?"

Arthur grinned and wiggled his eye brows, "some very nice pieces of writing called fanfiction and some nice drawings too that are all-"

"Okok yes I get it." Merlin cut him, exasperated. "I started avoiding that kind of stuff ages ago."

Arthur looked at him shocked, "So you HAVE seen it all."

Merlin nodded, "so what do you think of it?"

"I'd say it's not all wrong." Arthur grinned slyly at Merlin. Merlin looked at him astounded before they both started laughing uncontrollably in the middle of the bus.

"Over here!" Jason waved his hand franticly at the two boys who had just walked onto the café. Arthur looked over and saw a short man but strongly built, with thin, dark brown hair approach them and greet Merlin like a familiar friend. He was happy that Merlin wasn't totally alone all those years of waiting.

Merlin introduced Arthur to Jason, and they all sat down and started eating.

"So when did you two start dating?" Merlin nearly choked on his drink and Arthur's fork stopped halfway to him mouth. He was eating fried eggs on toast and some bacon, not wanting to risk trying anything new and not liking it.

"Uuhhh... no, its not like that." Arthur said for both of them.

Jason scoffed, "Yeah right. I know that look when two people are in love. It's so obvious. So, tell me, how long?" He had his hand under his chin, grinning like a massive idiot at the people sitting in front of him. Arthur and Merlin looked at each other, communicating with just their eyes.... Just like Jason had seen many married couples do when they had that deep bond for several years. Something about this confused him, he already knew Merlin, or how he liked to call him to piss him off, Martin, was bisexual, so he had no reason to be hiding the relationship. Except... "Oohhh. You guys are'nt together yet. Ok I get it, sorry for making it awkward for you." And with that he swiftly changed topic. Merlin and Arthur kept sneaking glances to each other and maybe they would brush hands under the table occasionally.

Arthur dragged Merlin towards the outskirts of the city, "Just trust me." Was his only answer when Merlin asked where they were going. Arthur led Merlin to a large open field that looked like it had been abandoned for many years. The walked across the massive field, Arthur never letting go of Merlin's hand even though he didn't need to drag him anymore. When the city was on the horizon and barely visible, Arthur let go of Merlin's hand and stepped back.

"What?" Asked Merlin as the blond-haired boy kept looking at him expectantly.

"You can let go now, of your magic. There is no one around to see or get hurt. I thought it would be good for you. I saw a glimpse of this field from the bus on the way over and hoped it would be large enough, turns out it is so..." He gestured at Merlin. The raven haired looked around him wide eyed. His eyes landed back on Arthur, a slight hint of fear on them. "I know you won't hurt me," Arthur said stepping toward Merlin. "even if you don't." He laid a hand on Merlin cheek, looking deep into his eyes.

"I'm scared." Arthur felt the breath of the whisper on his own cheek.

"I know how strong you are." And with that he leaned forwards and pressed his lips onto Merlin's. The black haired boy froze, then melted into it and simultaneously, let go of everything.

Magic erupted all around them. Massive sparks of colour shot towards the sky and filled the sky with glowing shards of light, each one a different colour. A swirl of blue danced around the couple, leaping up and intertwining between the blades of grass. Wilting flowers sprung to life in magical colours you would never see normally; they swayed lightly in the warm, but powerful breeze that was now blowing through the air, pure and unpolluted. Gold tendrils of light clung to the couple kissing, at last, in the middle of it all, completely safe in each other's arms.
