Optimus x Ratchet

His death

Warning: major character death so ratchet become super depresso boi, mention of smut and suicide

Ratchet had been put in charge of the nemesis, he watched on the monitors as team prime fought against the cons. He was a nervous wreck as he saw optimus suddenly fly in, he continued to panic as he would check on magnus' health since he was badly injured by the possessed warlord. He only prayed to primus that everything will be alright

Time skip cuz they won, knockout joined them, and now restore cybertron-

Ratchet and optimus were kissing in front of the entire team, bumblebee was happy that it was finally over and the team celebrated their victory. The two lovers broke their kiss before optimus' smile turned into a small frown, ratchet saw and asked, "optimus.. is something wrong?" "Ratchet.. i am one with the allspark..." ratchet looked at him confused before furrowing his optic ridges, "optimus.. don't play with me like.. that..." ratchet felt his world slow down when he saw the container that didn't have the allspark. "Optimus.. don't tell me.. please... this can't be true..." ratchet felt his knees buckling but he didn't fall. "Ratchet.. I'm so sorry... forgive me, old friend, but..."

"My quest must be completed."

"Optimus, I didn't return to save a life, only to lose the one i care most about."

Ratchet was alone, sitting on the edge of the well. He didn't care if optimus told him to "don't lament" in his absence. He was gone. He looked down into the well and let his tears fall, he wanted optimus back. Although, he was unaware that someone was watching him silently, still stalking him.

Bulkhead came to ratchet to try and pry him away but ratchet would throw a wrench so he'd scurry away. Next was smokescreen who tried to get him to recharge but also was met with a wrench. Then came bumblebee who managed to give him energon and make him drink it but bee failed to get ratchet moving, so he accompanied the medic for a little while until he had to get back to work. Then arcee came along and told him about how she understood his sadness, ratchet already knew of her relationship with cliff and tail but he still did not budge. He was pretty surprised when knockout came and also empathized his feelings when breakdown was taken from him. He felt sorry when knockout told him about his spark feeling numb and dull since the two spark bonded, the cherry red car actually managed to get the medic to go to his quarters but right when ratchet woke up, he was back where he was. Solar-cycles to a deca-cycle, ratchet was still at the well of the allspark until...

Ultra magnus finally had enough and decided to see what he could do, but once he got there- "ratchet!!" He ran over to the medic who was about to fall into the well, just in time, the commander held him from jumping in. "What in primus' designation are you thinking, ratchet?!" The medic didn't reply and only struggled in the commander's grip, after a cycle he vented out and slumped in magnus' hold. "Ratchet.. we understand you... but you have to live for him. I know he wants us to change the world, make cybertron whole again and i know he wants you to be a part of it. Sol- ahem- ratchet.. he would want you to live for him, don't let his sacrifice be in vein." After a few kliks ratchet let out a deep vent before replying, "you're right.. i have to live, for him. For optimus prime, orion pax, my.. old friend..."

A stellar-cycle later

Cybertron was looking better compared to what it used to be. Cybertronians all over the world had heard the news of the end of the war and a new era in peace for cybertron. Already many autobots had come and helped rebuild there planet while most decepticons were reluctant to come and help out. Few decepticons actually appeared and helped the reconstruction and became autobots. There was a high council election held soon and ratchet wondered who the candidates would be. Although, ratchet's and optimus' relationship was released to all over cybertron which made him mad at first but settled down soon after many solar-cycles. The medic would often visit the well to talk about what happened and what's been going on but his spark was still heavy, although he was happy with the results of his sacrifice. New life were onlined and old ones returned in peace, he continued his high hopes of cybertron growing.

"Knockout! Bumblebee!!" The two were caught fragging in the medbay again- "knockout!!! I'm turning you into scrap!!!" Smokescreen and bumblebee broke up since they didn't feel so right for each other but a certain red mech flirted his way into the yellow mech's spark and already did the thing once in the medbay and was caught by the old medic and once more again now. Ratchet had beat the slag out of the crimson medic but luckily bee took some hits for him and made the mother-hen stop. Even though ratchet didn't approve the fragging, he was alright with the ex-con and yellow warrior dating. At first though, ratchet had summoned thousands of wrenches to just protect bee but eventually he saw bee and knock had grown on each other, make that literally now-

Ratchet was at his home now, his housing unit was fixed and was a little more improved. He let out a huff as he sat on his berth, he took out a datapad from his subspace and clicked it on. As he was reading he heard something shift in his house, his audials perked up a little but slowly settled back down as he continued reading the daily report. He then heard something crash, he flinched and got out of his berth, he felt nervous and drawn out his blade. "Wh-who's there?!" He slowly walked out of his room and into the hallway, he crept over to the kitchen which was where he heard the noise from and found a broken cube. He withdrew his blade and crouched down to observe the broken cube but then heard pedesteps behind him, but before he could turn around to see who. He was knocked out.
