Celeste de Ambrosius was her name. A slender muse of poetic pain wrapped up in several soliloquies and embellished in whispers of sweet paradoxes that meant absolutely nothing.
Her sun-kissed skin glazed over the scene as she decisively observed their mannerisms trying to figure out of the large group even managed to connect in the several broken conversations happening within the smaller pairings of them. A smile danced across her lips as she slowly started to understand humanity and how fickle their relationship to one another was. How few words could ruffle the slightest feather. She enjoyed beaming in what they saw as huge, but to her, it was just a small instrumental moment that would divulge into her little plan of chaos she was brewing.
Her smile was still as the waters from each fountain she'd frozen around them. She watched as people in line became manic over the lack of water, some runners, other students just leaving the class, or making it over to the other side of campus finally. She didn't care her eyes diluted to the several people around her who probably grew curious of her stares. Just as she was going to dive into her second phase, she was interrupted by a family voice.
"Miss de Ambrosius, you should take a picture of the scenery it could last longer", Professor Hamilton retorted.
Her brows furrowed as she peeled her eyes from the scene on to him, her eyes dancing from his feet to his lips. Her smile was so bright as she billowed past his consciousness and entered his subconscious without his consent. It was something she often did when interacting with a man of his caliber.
"Professor Hamilton, perhaps, you'd enjoy taking a picture as well, seeing as you've spent your time watching me watch them. Just a tip, if you photograph me from behind, do call out my name. So that I can look over my shoulder. I find that it's my best angle", that same smile never leaving her face.
His eyes slightly rolling in an amused manner, he chuckled. Celeste was a handful, that most wouldn't assume her to be. She gave off this energy of innocence and longing to be noticed. The reality was she enjoyed her sarcasm and the wall she built up to keep people out of her psyche. He knew exactly what she as doing peeling the layers and layers of his subconscious away as he pushed her out to the best of his ability, but like always she managed to grab a small piece.
"Celeste", he pleaded to almost not even bothering to go there, but each day he hoped she'd somehow changed her ways. And every time it was egg on his face that she barely even gave him an inch.
"Elliot", she said she her lips slowly pressed together awaiting his sad little pleads of mercy.
"Stop trying to break me", she cackled at his remark.
Walking up to him, Celeste gained a bit of closure between the two of them.
"That's no fun, you broke me first love", her orbs meshing into a crimson color with golden flecks in them as she kissed his jawline before walking off into the crowd of students who were ignorant to the storm that was coming of them.
She closed her eyes feeling his voice invade her mind with pleads as she deepened into the crowd. She merely laughed and flicking her wrist as she walked by an even larger group. It was the swift hair toss of wild yet curly tresses, that landed over her left shoulder as they all fell into a coughing spell, their blood gurgled into their throats as she continued walking as if she saw nothing, but oh she heard everything.
She heard him yelling at her to stop, as well as yelling for help.
The close she made it to the next entrance of the campus Gwenedire Hall she heard a familiar crackle of heels hitting the cement pavement. Maybe it was the sound and not their scent, or hell maybe it was their scent first. That was neither here nor there, what was of the current moment was a subtle eye roll she did as she heard the soothing tone of her mother lacing each word with a silent threat.
"Celeste de Ambrosius", was all she heard before she addressed the two women who stood before her.
"Elise", she said eyeing her mother and then looking to her aunts.
"Khaleesi, nice of you to join my mother on one of her various crusades to save the man that ruined her daughter", slitting her eyes at her mother she felt her magic being tethered, only to snap it off to the core freezing any access.
"Celes, behave your mother is here just making sure you're staying out of trouble as promised, judging by the looks of things, you've broken that. I see you've siphoned more magic, something deeper than what we're used to so I'm assuming you have no means in stopping?", Celes nodded her head not saying much allowing the only person who seemed to understand what was going to take place whether they liked it or not.
"You're going to start a war, a war that will break her heart. A war that will break your father's heart", she looked sharply in her aunt's direction feeling the very memories she stored away resurface.
"We already had the war, what you are living now is the remains of what I've left you for the meantime. So think fast Auntie, it might be your last thought" and with that she cloaked herself blocking her mother's magic, and stripped the campus of security. She broke the spell she created many years ago allowing the flood gates of hell to rise and seek revenge on humanity.
"Clock is ticking", she unveiled herself with a cheeky grin, before teleporting to the next location.
