Her eyes fluttering into a subtle eye roll as her mother smothered her in hugs and kisses as if she'd been gone for several weeks, it was just an overnight trip.
"I missed my ladybug, you know your dad should be heading in soon" the young girls face perked up even more. It wasn't a secret that she was a daddy's girl. She did everything with him, but not so much that she left her mother without having a daughter. There was a unique balance in it all.
She took in the green room, noticing a few new plants. Some looked like herbs. Hell, at one point, she thought her mother was growing weed, but that just turned out to be her Aunt sneaking in a stash to grow for what she says is medical purposes. Khaleesi was the youngest of the siblings. They weren't of the same bloodline, but that hadn't mattered, they were raised that way from the time they were about her age.
"Ma, what is all of this," she said sneezing a bit.
"Just a few things the shop needed, remedies for sleeping, pain, and nausea. There has been a lot of pregnant woman coming into the apothecary, what did I tell you about touching things" Elise raised her brown sternly at her daughter.
The older woman used to have to lock up her garden at night when a five-year-old Celes would sneak out and get into things she had no business getting into. It was alarming for the two parents, but they made sure things were harmless when it came to their pride and joy. Saying a few muffled words she watched as her daughter's next sneeze becomes non-existent. Perfect, the last thing she needed was her to realize they masqued wolfsbane.
There had been so much about their world they kept her from. They didn't want her apart of this world, but the more her husband kept taking "business trips" the more and more the pair had discussed possibly preparing her for what was coming her way. They trained her skillfully without her knowledge, but that only mattered if she took those moments and used them. A war was coming and all things supernatural were stocking up on supplies, shelter, and bodies.
Bodies the words echoed throughout her head, but it was laced with a retched laugh that seemed to make her jump out of the thoughts, causing Celeste to look at her like she'd lost her marbles.
"Ma, where did you go just now" she half-laughed but halfway looked concerned by the worried expression on her mom's face. That quickly changed when a large figure stepped into the room making Elise jump, but Celeste barely budge. She heard her father come in about three minutes into this conversation before she had zoned out.

Alistar pulled his wife into a tight embrace, nearly swallowing her frame. His free hand pulling his Celeste over mushing in the top of her head. He was happy to be home, being away for too long kept him on edge. With everything on high alert, he didn't feel right leaving his wife without protection which is why he had Eli watching the both of them closely. With him being Alpha meant he needed to be sure his pack and their families were just as secure as his. This last trip was for building an alliance but that only resulted in bloodshed. Kissing them both on the tops of their heads he took a good look at them before leaning against the wood table he'd built back here for his wife to work on.
"How was the trip" the pair shared a glance that they thought their daughter hadn't caught on to only to try to brush it over with smiles and probably fake cover-ups of what happened on the trip. Celes wasn't a pessimist, nor was she always conspiring on something, it was a simple fact that every time her father had a trip so did her mother but her mother's trips last overnight whereas his lasted several. He'd return but with bruises and marks that he tried best to cover up. This trip was almost as if he barely tried.
"How was school bug" switching his wife out for his daughter. She just leaned into his chest taking in his scent. She didn't know what was going on, just that her father was hurt and he was just acting as if nothing had happened. She held onto him tighter as if he was going away. She needed the truth and not them brushing everything away.
Alistar's frame stiffened as he caught on to a familiar scent of waste, his eyes turning into a crimson color. His ears perking up at quick movements, there were about four of them near the side of the greenhouse. They seemed to be zoning in on a particular target. He quickly sniggled his wife who had already been casting a spell most unbeknown to their daughter. They didn't have time to shield her mind into a sleeping state as they hid her from harm's way, his mind was going a mile a minute.
Celeste could hear the muttered sounds of heartbeats tapping at her eardrums, her heartbeat began matching their pace, she felt a bit of anxiety take over her body when her mind snapped out of her thoughts not knowing what this feeling had been. Thank god for her phone vibrating, she quickly answered it feeling her parents nearly burn a hole into the side of her face, she looked between them and then back at their phone. Something wasn't right. And then it happened. A large growl matched with a large object being thrown against the side of the green housebreaking the glass.
Her eyes nearly bucked from her face as she watched the horrific scene that happened before her. Her mother shielding her as the wind picked up alongside them trapping them into a bubble. Her father jumping over the oversized wolf, as he ran towards the four men who had been standing there with fire in their eyes. They were practically seething at their mouths. She watched the wolf spring back into action as it headed towards her father's direction.
Her eyes grew wide in horror she heard her mothers start chanting faster obviously doing something because the second she had stopped the four mean slowly dropped holding their hands over their ears. She heard a ringing sound that so much wanted to take her down with them, but somehow she began to fight it. Something stronger was taking over. Feeling her skin warm-up and that same not of anxiety build up in the bit of her stomach she allowed it to take course as she grabbed the nearest piece gardening tool leaving the bubble. Hearing the tool drop just as she did she felt the pace pick up faster, but the view was now from another perspective. She heard a growl as she came face to face with the wolf who didn't attack, but merely stood beside her father wore the same colored eyes. She felt the grass beneath her hands, only for her to blink something wasn't right. Why was she touching the ground, has she fallen like an idiot? Peering down trying to get herself up she noticed her hands were now large paws.

"I told you to head on over not cause trouble Maliki, you were aware of the alliance to me, wolves and witches" Khaleesi spat in embarrassment.
A familiar voice shuffled into the backyard kissing their teeth. She signaled her sister that everything was okay. Elise broke the spell and lowered the shield, allowing a few tears to fall from her eyes.
"There was a wolf we didn't account for, Esi, we thought they were in trouble," one of the men said as he stood up straight the other following soon after.
"My apologies for the disturbance and damage. I was told there had been only one wolf present. After the trouble Esi said you had a few days ago, I assumed this one was coming after you and your family" he gave a small smile giving them each a bit of distance. Maliki fascinated himself with the wolf who seemed to be coated in white fur. "Perhaps we should actually get a correct count, so we don't run into this problem again" he gave Esi a cheeky grin.
Khaleesi's looked just as confused as Maliki she knew who the black wolf had been, but this new one hadn't been familiar at all.
"Celeste" Elie's voice cracked as she bent down towards her daughter who was most obviously shaken up by everything his exact moment. The poor wolf had been frazzled after shifting for the very first time and not knowing it. Alistar placed his hand on top of his daughter's coat. Giving her a kiss on the nose. He knew she was shaken to her core and he hadn't had any words for this moment.
Khaleesi's stood there with her mouth now agape as she realized everything that just happened. She signed for the men to follow her into the house and give them privacy. She whistled for Eli to follow her as well. They were going to need all the privacy they could get.

How was school bug? was literally five minutes ago. Five minutes ago Celeste was a fourteen-year-old girl fiddling with her cellphone. Five minutes ago she was worried about her father and whatever trouble he'd gotten himself into. Five minutes ago she was a normal teenage girl.
Well even longer than five minutes ago, so many other things happened that no one even picked up on.
So it figures that five minutes ago baby girl found out she was in fact not dying of an incurable disease, but that was she was a ... werewolf.
