so sorry for the slow update! been on a big slump and haven't had much inspiration and motivation to write. i'll try to get back up as soon as i can!

-

it'd been almost 12 days since the accident.

hueningkai had woken up a few days ago.

yeonjun almost threw himself at hueningkai when he first laid eyes on him after he awoke, but beomgyu and taehyun managed to hold him back, trying to reason with him.

they managed to calm him down, allowing them to hear hueningkai's side of the story.

yeonjun, no matter how hard he tried, couldn't find it in his heart to forgive him.

he felt bad, and a part of him understood.

but he just couldn't let it go.

had they been a minute late, he would've died.

choi soobin would've died.

he barely escaped with his life.

yeonjun couldn't forgive someone that easily.

and soobin was still unconscious.

what if he never woke up?

all these thoughts still circled around his head as he made his way to soobin's hospital room.

he gripped the handle to the door before quietly opening it, walking in.

he felt his heart drop at the sight of soobin laying still and lifeless on the hospital bed, multiple types of equipment stuck to his skin as the faint beeping of the iv echoed in the back of his head.

he felt his legs give way as he clutched onto the door handle, falling down onto the floor.

the sound of the monitor beeping echoed in his head as his eyes were glued to the male on the bed.

he hadn't visited soobin the last 12 days, he didn't have the courage to.

he had barely gathered up the guts to show up in front of his room.

he knew he wouldn't be ready to see what was behind that door.

and no matter how much he prepared, he still wasn't ready for what he saw when he opened the door.

tears built up in his eyes rapidly, his heartrate increasing as his breathing grew unsteady.

his eyes lost focus from soobin to the floor below him, his mind spaced out from reality.

to think he was the reason.

he was the reason soobin was like this.

because he was careless.

because he was stupid.

because he wasn't fast enough.

because he wasn't good enough.

because he put soobin in danger.

because he almost killed soobin.

it took everything in him to take slow and heavy steps towards the unconscious male, slipping himself onto the chair next to him.

he felt a lump in his throat as he saw soobin's emotionless face lay still on the hospital bed, lips parted slightly as his chest rose and fell.

there was supposed to be some sort of movement or reaction from him before the 12-day mark but he'd remained still the entire time, no sort of reaction no matter what the doctors tried.
