Fax looked at his schedule as he walked in with Danny. A period first today. Math with Mr. Granetto. He hated math because he was never good at it. The numbers never work out with him and Mr. Granetto just made it worse. He was a terrible teacher who really shouldn't be at that school.

He groaned as he walked to his grey locker, parting with Danny. When he opened it, a ton of shit  poured out onto him and he heard a group of guys laughing around the corner near the stairs. He was on the ground covered in banana peels, dirt, gravel, leaves and a lot of other things were spread across the teal tile floor. There was a swarm of people surrounding him but he just shook his head and got up to walk to the locker room to take a shower. That was his excuse to miss first period.

When it was lunch, he walked out of his dull French class, down the four flights of stairs into the basement cafeteria. It smelt of french fries and hamburgers. Fax wasn't in the mood for lunch so he just sat down at a table by himself. Jenni caught his eye and he waved at her. She noticed that he was all alone and sad and that made her frown. She walked over to the table to keep him company.

"Hey Jenni," he said as she sat down with her brown lunch bag. Inside it there was a pastrami sandwich, chips, an apple, and soda. She took the soda and apple out first.

"Hey. Hows school?" she asked looking right into his eyes. Her two best friends walked in and looked right at Fax with their jaws dropped. Fax waved, and they waved back walking over to sit with him and her. Danny walked in and didn't even look at him and went to sit with his teammates which I understood.

"It was alright. I got to skip first period," Fax replied leaning back in the wooden chair hitting the green wall. When he tilted his neck back, the top of a tattoo of a cross was showing.

"You have a tat?" one of the girls asked. She was a blond with blue eyes and perfect white skin. She was a little on the skinny side but her figure was still nice. The shirt that she was wearing was very provocative showing parts of her bra.

"Yeah it's a cross. I got it done three years ago. Bad mistake," he replied, "What's your name?"

"Lauren," she said.

"Well it's nice to meet you, Lauren."

"My name's Tami," said the other girl. She was a brunette wearing way to much makeup. She was a little on the heavier side.

"Well nice to meet you Tami," he said feeling very flattered that he had his own little fans. Jenni asked about what happened to him that he could miss first period and he told them the story.

"Why don't you beat them up?" Jenni asked.

"I don't like fighting," Fax said sternly. He put the front legs of his chair back on the ground and put his large veiny hands on the old plastic table.

"Who did it?" Jenni asked. Fax just shrugged. He had no clue who did it but he didn't really care. He had bigger problems to deal with at the moment. The table was silent until the bell rang and they all separated.

"Oh by the way, happy birthday!" Jenni said before leaving. She was blushing so hard that it looked like her face was going to explode.

"Thanks Jenni, you're the first person to say that today," Fax said. She smiled as they separated. He went up the staircase to go to his last two classes. Art and Shop.

After school was over, Fax became depressed. He had no one to hang out with and he didn't want to go home because this was the time of month that his dad would come home. Fax walked out the double doors in the front and sat in front of the strip of asphalt where the kids got picked up. He sat there for a good two hours doing homework and just thinking. He then took out his phone to call Gale to give him a ride home but then he remembered that she worked until six. He looked up at the gray sky and noticed that it was starting to rain. He didn't move from that black bench however. He just sat there all alone and sobbed to himself.

"You alright?" asked a girly voice. He turned around, his eyes blood shot and looked at this beautiful girl. She was blond, had sparkley green eyes, a perfect body, and beautiful pink lips. She was Fax's dream girl. He quickly tried to choke up the tears.

"I'm fine," he lied. He got up and walked over to this beauty, "My names Halifax. Call me Fax."

"My name's Kathryn. But call me Kate," she said. I nodded and shook her hand. Her right hand was so soft and small and felt great in his hands. He noticed a beautiful aroma of lavender perfume that was coming from her.

"Are you new here?" he asked her. She nodded.

"Tomorrow's my first day. Sophmore woot woot."

"Where you from?" Fax asked admiring her face. There were two little freckles on top of her nose that Fax thought were very adorable. He studeid every single part of her face and it felt like to him that he was looking straight into her soul.

"Fargo. My mom got a job in some place called Quincy... I think... but now we live here."

"How you like you? I mean that? I mean it?" he stuttered. She laughed a little. It was like a pefect chuckle with beautiful white teeth that even shined in the dark of the clouds.

"So far, I've been grabbed, groped, and any other terrible thing you can think of, but now that I've met a decent person, I guess it's ok," she said smiling at him.

"Well I'm glad you got a little taste of Eastern Massachusetts!" He joked with her.

"You're pretty funny. Give me your phone," she said holding her perfect hand out. He took out his crappy little texting phone and handed it over to Kate. She put her number in his address book and gave it back to him.

"Call me when you get a chance," she whispered into my ear. When she finished her sentence she walked to a large blue Ford Excursion with North Dakota plates on it. It sped away out of the driveway.

Fax couldn't contain himself. He jumped around and screamed to the sky, "Thank you Lord!"

The rain started to get harder and soon fax was completely drenched with rainwater but he didn't care.

He met his true love.
