Ch 1.)I'll never forget you!

"I'll never forget you yelled" Lucy may.

"I lov" Joey failed to talk during his last breath.

"No no" Lucy said as Joey closed his eyes.

"I don't think I'll be able to sleep at night. I can't believe this is how it's ending" lucy thought.

Suddenly every word anybody said to Lucy reminded her of the crash.not even her mother had the answers this time she always knew exactly what to say but Jen had no words!

The next few hours were full of pain and sorrow. For a few minutes Lucy was distracted by the cuts on her left arm from the shattered pieces of windshield. She tried so hard to think not about her leg that may need amputated in a month or so. She sobbed so long she eventually fell into a deep sleep.

She woke up about four and a half hours later in a dreadful sweat , and said to her mother "I just had a horrible nightmare".

"I was with Joey and he was bringing me home from the movies and it was snowing so hard and freezing to the roads and we slipped into another car and span around and hit a tree and it fell on top of us and the windshield shattered and I looked over and Joey was unconscious and my leg and arm were bleeding." Lucy said in a panic.

She looked her mom in the eyes while breathing heavily. Jen broke down in tears. Lucy realizing that's exactly what happened did the same. Lucy was only 17 alongside Joey who was only a year and two months older.
