Joey would've started college this year and had a full ride to college with his basketball scholarships. On the day of the crash he was wearing his jersey with the number "13" on it. Lucy's sister Erica died of cancer three years ago when she was 13. Joey never had siblings so he always treated Erica like she was his baby sister. So when Erica died he changed his number to "13" in honor of her. I always told Erica to "keep on keepin on" and she would tell me the same thing back. My mom caught on so we said it together a feel on top of the world!
My dad Ben, was a cop. He was chasing down a terrorist and he turned around and shot my dad before he could react. That was right after Erica died. I guess you could say I have bad luck , I never did think of it that way until we lost Erica.
