Sadness washed over me as we stopped at the departure gate. I hated saying goodbye. The tears were stinging my eyes already and I gripped Fabrice’s hand tighter. Nick turned to face me. “Now, for one last time, are you one hundred percent sure this is what you want?”

“A million percent.” I replied, smiling. He pulled me into a tight hug.

“I have to admit, I’m impressed girl. I never thought you’d have the balls to do something like this.” He was crying now too. We laughed together through our tears.

“I have to admit, I never thought I would either.” I replied. “I have to thank you, though. You convinced me this, I would've ran away long time ago. But talking to you made me realized that  would be good for me – and it was. I came away to find peace of mind, and I found myself in the process.”

“I’m going to call you every week, and if you need anything just ask and I’ll sort it.” He promised. I smiled in response.

“We’ve been over this. I have everything I need. The chef position at the hotel restaurant will give me enough money to live off, and they’re giving me a room in the deal.” The plan was I’d stay until the end of summer. Deep down I knew I’d stay longer than that. For now though, I was going to take it one day at a time...

I ended up staying with Mariano and everything was going in my favor. We had such good time.

Until his mom came to Italy and was acting like a ****** I can't stand her and Mariano knows that so he just made sure I didn't bump into her.

Nick is still being a jerk but it feels good tho. Hanging out with him again.

Mariano had to handle so business back in New York. So we all came down to New York.
